I wouldn't mind this, for depth. If we're bringing in older guys, give me Hitchens. He's a 100% effort, team guy..

I want to see if any of younger guys make the roster in preseason.

This wouldn't hurt, though. Quinn still has some gas left, it looks like.

he's 32 and would come with a 17+million cap hit this year, 18 million next year, 17 million year after that. we paid him 8mm for the 1 year he was with us
I dont see anyone picking up the phone

He would be a 17 million dollar pass rush specialist. No thanks.

He makes Pro Bowler money. Stephen is only interested in guys making back up money. We wouldn’t be interested in him even at half his current AAV.

If I am the Cowboys FO I am on the phone now. Bringing Quinn back immediately upgraded the pass rush. Takes doubles off Tank, will help Williams grow & take pressure off Parsons.

1: Robert Quinn's pass rush production varies widely from year to year.
- Is it 18.5 from 2021 or 2 from 2020?

2: Quinn is a terrible run defender.
- It is hard to commit to him as a starter unless the other 10 players on defense are super run defenders.

3a: A team acquiring him in a trade inherits base salaries:
2022: 12.8M
2023: 14M
2024: 12.9M

3b: He needs to be a full time starter at those salaries but he would be most valuable used as a pass rush specialist that does not have to play run defense.

So, if that's the price, then hard pass on a 32-year-old with maybe two left in the tank.

They're trying to be wise so they can sign the guys who make up the identity of our team. Our grit players, Diggs, Parsons, Lamb, Martin.

You guys will ***** if he spends money or doesn't spend money.

Small nit. That’s his cap hit for the Bears, not any team acquiring him.

His cap hit if you traded for him is approx. $13 million this year and around $14 million next year.

Same guys that want us to go for it all out are the same ones that wanted us to cut Dak and start a total rebuild.

Same guys that complain we overspend for mediocre players are the same ones are mad we aren’t overspending in FA.
