Losing Amari Cooper and Cedric Wilson means we’re not going to improve at WR at least not this season. We’ve taken a real hit at WR, especially with Gallup out the first few games of the season. We have potential to get better on the OL and DL but not at WR.

Dude I am not calling you out, but your post gives me a great point to rebut. Cooper and Cedrick will not be that hard to replace. Cedrick was a gadget piece in our offence and Cooper just fell off (sub 900 yards ) Gallup even if he does come back in October, can give us what Coop did. The rookie and Washington can more than replace Cedrick's production. And who knows what kind of production we'll get From Cee Dee Lamb

They’re both going to be hard to replace because Cooper was one of the best route runners in the entire league and made a number of big plays for us with games on the line. He had to be accounted for. Cedric Wilson stepped up every time he had an opportunity and it could be argued he’s better than Michael Gallup or at least on par with him. He made some of the best catches of any of our WRs. We don’t know what the rookie can do at the NFL level. As for Washington he’s just a JAG in my opinion. He’s only had 54 catches for under 700 yards the past two seasons. There’s no guarantees he’ll even make the team.

Cool. I just wanted to know where your thinking was. As I stated, I don't see Coop as irreplaceable, and I do not see Cedrick anywhere near to Gallup.

But We'll see. Both players were good but by No means irreplaceable. Later Bro

Like I've been saying, we have a weak division, so we will be making the playoffs. Once in the playoffs GB or TB could easily be beat by us. The Rams are the only real team that's stands in our way of a SB appearance.

Arizona and San Francisco had little problem winning in Jerryworld last season. How has Dallas passed them?

In my opinion? Tampa and Green Bay ranked too high, Buffalo ranked too low.

no doubt…Buffalo might be the best team in the league and might’ve been last year too.
I think KC has a big drop off without Hill and a vastly tougher division.
the Eagles almost elite? Lol….Hurts is terrible. Not sure we belong there either.

As of now, Antonio Brown is gone for good, they lost two starting guards, and Gronk isn’t on the roster.

That knocks them down a peg for me.

Fair enough

I think replacing Russell Cages’s 770 yards with Brown’s 545, plus getting Godwin back will be just fine.
Godwin, Evans, Gage…..might be the best trio in the league to go with Brady, Fournette and 3rd rounder White
They are stacked

The topped ranked offense from last season falls to 7th best. Sounds about right.

I’d be surprised if we finish top 10 tbf.
I think this person is ranking who he thinks is best and not who has/had the most yards.
The best “usually” can be-counted on to to do better than most vs the top defenses.

A few years ago, for example, Jameis Winston led the NFL in passing yards no one mistaked him as the best though.
Same applies total yards stats as a whole

I think there’s a TON of pressure on Hurts. I actually feel bad for the kid because he never ASKED for this. I think the Eagles overdrafted him and then quickly sent Wentz packing and put it all on him.

And they clearly looked into replacing him this year and I believe they WILL after this year unless he takes them deep into the playoffs. I don’t think that’s fair to him but the rest of their team looks pretty well stocked.

I actually forgot they added Gage. But I still wonder about the offensive line losses, especially in front of an old quarterback.

I agree but he can’t make a lot of throws and looks confused a lot. They are a barely above .500 team unless he is drastically better no matter the team around him. However, it looks like they have the easiest schedule in the league this year so they will probably make the playoffs again and get outclasses in the first game.

I think they’re undeniably a better team than last year. They not only managed to keep what they had, but they’ve added to it.

On top of that, they managed to draft replacements for Kelce and Cox for their farewell seasons.

They’ve certainly narrowed the gap, and if Hurts can just drive the bus, they can win the division.

That's because the outsiders look at the numbers without context. They didn't see our ground game disappear and our inability to beat a cover 2.

Maybe, but we’ve been duped before when they went out and signed a bunch of people and then proceeded to fall completely apart by midseason.
I don’t feel they will be but maybe a smidge better. Doesn’t matter if you have Randy Moss, TO, and Jerry Rice as your WRs, if the QB never knows where to go with the ball and can’t get it there anyway….doomed. If they had a tough schedule I’d put it down that they miss the playoffs completely. Of course, that’d mean I was betting on us to win the division, which I’m not ready to do either. I think we got worse.

Great post. But make no mistake, the Cowboys are lucky to some extent due to the Eagles QB. Moves like they made remind me of what they did prior to the 2017 season. Their offseason was in stark contrast to the Cowboys. Not even close. They're not just building through the draft. They are making moves to win now. They trade, they're active in FA, and they're active in the draft moving up and down. Their weak point is their QB. Without a doubt they fix that for 2023. They have the draft capital to do it.

This doesn't mean what they did will turn up roses, but it is a clear effort to do so. The Cowboys will do zero to counter this, and take whatever falls to them in the draft.

Once the head coach figured out the running game he had, they were a much improved offense and team overall. But I agree with you that it will all come down to the play of the quarterback as to whether or not they truly improve. And if he falls short, the hook will be quick. And total.

..only reason Tampa is that high, is Brady. But that's another year older and less sharper. Im not buying it. Bills should be top 5. Titans @ 20??? .lol.. no way. I'd pick top 10.

Dallas is about right. Room to grow.
