Here is one of the guys I heard about on Today who called 911. Nothing conclusive. Just questions

https://www.yahoo.com/sports/man-believes-saw-dwayne-haskins-190000179.html

NBC 6 South Florida spoke to a man who says he believes he saw the 24-year-old Haskins on I-595 westbound just minutes before the crash.

“I was dropping off my daughter to an airline at the Fort Lauderdale Airport in the morning,” said Chris Stanley.

Stanley said he was on the way home after leaving the airport, and heading towards the off-ramp to Interstate 95 north when he noticed vehicles veering into his lane.

“And what I noticed was a Mack truck, or a big tractor-trailer, with also another vehicle that started moving a little bit to the left,” said Stanley. “I was in the left lane and then there was the right lane. And then I noticed an individual there starting to make their way onto the road."

Stanley said he saw the man's arms raised up a little bit as he appeared to be drifting into the major highway.

“He was about halfway, to a quarter way in the right lane, already onto the highway and I was already concerned that somebody was going to strike him right there at that moment," he said.

Stanley said he was so concerned that he dialed 911 and shared a screenshot of his call log with NBC 6 with a call to 911 at 6:31 a.m. — six minutes before Florida Highway Patrol officials said the crash was reported at 6:37 a.m.

Stanley said he did not notice a vehicle along I-595 westbound that may have belonged to Haskins.

“I did not see any vehicle nearby,” said Stanley. “I was more concerned with him because he was already making his way onto the road system."

NBC 6 reporter asked Stanley if there were any conclusions he could draw about what the person he believes to be Haskins was attempting to do along I-595.

"I could not,” said Stanley. “That's why it's just very disturbing. I just didn't understand the situation.”
This news makes it even more troubling about it being an accident.

Sorry for your loss, I could not even begin to imagine such a tragedy.
A lady I dated, before I met her, her dad was murdered, and it effects and her family to this day. They never caught who did it.
On another note, her daughter at age 19 committed suicide. Tragedy all around.

Also a friend, his son was murdered at age 18, about 35 years ago. He is still haunted. 3 men did it, 1 just got out of prison, as he was not involved, but was present. He sat in the vehicle, did not know what as going on supposedly. The other 2 probably will not get out. He goes every time they are up for parole. The last 3 times now, they been denied.
That’s horrible. I had twin daughters and after Brittany was murdered, my relationship with my other daughter, Jessica , just fell to pieces. It was like losing both of my daughters and it wrecked my entire family. Looking back, none of us intentionally hurt each other, but the stress and dealing with the situation tore my family apart and it’s never recovered.

This was just released. Horrible to hear. Seems like one woman saw it happen and wanted him out of the road and his wife was saying she called and he was out of gas. The gas part clears up a lot but other witnesses saw him walking down lanes waving. I’m not sure how to marry the two or if it even matters. Honestly feel sick about all of it and how his wife heard on a 911 call

Not a car. It was a dump truck.
"I mean, if you can't see an oncoming dump truck,
how the heck can you pick up a blitz pre-snap."

-The above quote may, or may not, be from a certain scout.

Sounds like instead of standing on the median or shoulder he was in the road trying to wave someone down.

Now that was really stupid.

Going by that call it sounded like he was in the road. I doubt a person shouts at someone on the shoulder. That said, don't walk the shoulder. I've worked road maintenance for 5 years. You can be killed walking on the shoulder. It happens more often than people think.

Just to add why he didn’t mind walking in traffic. This was in morning and then accident and labs later so I’m betting higher at time

Haskins died of blunt force trauma, and the death was ruled accidental, according to the autopsy report released by the Broward Medical Examiner’s Office. According to the toxicology report, Haskins’ two samples tested positive for alcohol, his blood at .20, another fluid level at .24. The legal blood alcohol content limit in Florida is .08.

Although Brandt was roasted, perhaps he wasn't that far off in his seemingly tone deaf comments. Haskins was 3x the legal limit along with having other drugs in his system. It didn't end well for him but perhaps his car running out of gas saved some other lives. Hard to make a comprehensive list of the good decisions that he made the last few years. But hey, let's not stop the statues from being commissioned and retired number from being hung.

Luckily it ended up just being him and he didn't hurt others.

So let's go back to this, since a bunch of people were white knighting him a couple weeks ago: Dude lived like a moron and died like one.

Is there such a thing as HIPPA here? I don't understand why his toxology report gets shared with the world. How is that any of our business? He died by accident, no crimes were committed. Why is his personal information being reported?

It’s not HIPPA.

Autopsies are public record performed by the local governing authorities.

If he was driving in that condition, a crime was being committed.

Okay, with that I can see nationally reporting it. Fortunately no one else died or got hurt. My initial reaction to seeing his toxicology report being on ESPN was I felt it was petty. But yeah driving intoxicated and with ketamine in your system is pretty irresponsible. I forgot about him driving at some point before the accident and I felt ESPN was being petty by continuing to throw dirt on the guy's character after he's dead.
