I'm not saying Dak is better than Mahomes

Remember this dude named Jerry Rice who made an above average arm like Steve Young look elite?

Mahomes has two receivers that resembles Rice more than anyone we got. Mahomes has a far better arm than Young, but see what happens when you have elite weapons like he does? We've never seen Dak with an elite receiver before. Once (or if) Dak has an elite receiver, we'll see who he really is!!

Even if Dak has all the weapons in the world. It's receiver by committee. Everybody gets the ball...

Did you see the 400 yard games for each? That production is what is being compared. Explain why that comparison is “ludicrous”.

They both play NFL QB. Comparing any stat seems reasonable.

Ok. Lets compare playoff wins...... Mahomes has 8 wins in 5 seasons and Dak has 1 win in 6.

The fact is that Mahomes is on pace to be an all-time great, first ballot HOFer........ Dak is not even close.

Who saying they need to shut out every opponent? All I’m asking is make a damn stop with the game on the line and stop giving up 150+ yards rushing. We’re getting beat in the trenches try watching the games!
Question is have we addressed it?
Still weak but with youth have a chance for some improvement but still dont believe its going to be enough.

So you’re hoping we are good/lucky enough to draft a better QB. Even only looking at the draft he was drafted in can you see how that evaluating that position and how college success translates to the pros is very difficult at best?

I think you’re not being realistic if you think there’s a better chance of that happening then winning with Dak. We could’ve won with Romo too. Defense is important. There’s only so many Rodgers and Mahomes in the world.

I guess you’re hoping just like me. But I believe the showing from Dak (Pro Bowls, MVP contender pre injury) is evidence that he’s capable of playing well enough to win it all. In playoff games the D hasn’t been that good, has it? While his production seemed pretty good in a few of them.

You believe that we can draft someone else and that he’ll be more successful, while ignoring all the draft failures.

I hope one of us is right.
The draft is 1 of 3 options I gave. I even provided examples with each option.

I'd rather we trade for or sign a real QB when Dak's contract is up, but Dallas don't sign or trade for big name talent, so that's why the draft seems like our only hope.

I believe yours and a lot of others opinion on Dak will be much different after next season then it is right now. I think he regresses because the offense has lost a lot of pieces and not replaced them with clearly better or equal talent.

I'm not a Zeke fan by any measure. But he held out for an extension, signing bonus money and guaranteed money in the future. At no point did he not honor his contract. He had to play out his 4th year and 5th year option before any extension began. He signed his extension after the 2018 season. His 6 year extension started in 2021.
Okay.....not sure what constitutes "honoring a contract". It must be just me...I think showing up for work...is part of it. Didn't he skip practices?

Dak will be in the ring of honor before Jimmy.

Great observation!
It's easy to say dak sucks,
But unless you have a feasible alternative plan, what good is that?
About as much good as anything and everything we say and do here. Since when is a solution required by the person that finds a problem? That is a ridiculous...and a lazy way to squash constructive criticism and dissent.

Yes. Rodgers. A veteran. With a ring. MVP awards. A rookie 4th rounder beat him once and took him to the brink in playoffs.

I don't fault a rookie for his playoff performance. There is a reason no rookie has ever made it to the Superbowl. Looking at that game at the time, nobody had any idea how things would turnout.

But I find the finger pointing and bashing towards a then rookie very pitiful.
Okay fair enough about the rookie thing.

What's your excuse for getting so bend out of shape when people criticize him now, 6 years into his career?

when did I get bent out of shape? really. you are reaching dude. not a good look.

I am more like correcting people or provide counter points asking them to explain their view....unlike you who gets all tizzy and tied in knots on anything anyone ever says that maybe ever so slightly positive about Dak. he lives in your head rent free. ;)
I mean all anyone has to do is see how many responses and comments you have on this thread alone. not even Khiladi or Pappy are this obsessed.

All I have to do is ask the question and look how bent out of shape you got.

Point proven.

That is a comparison that you just made. I responded to someone that said making a comparison was ludicrous.

I think we all know Mahomes is better. The op posted their stats showing a close comparison in 400 yard games. That’s all.

Not many great QB’s come up for trade deals though. Stafford for many first round picks?? There doesn’t seem to be many blockbuster trades period in the NFL.
And yeah, like you said, Dallas doesn’t do that so that seems unrealistic anyway.

Give me some names of real QB’s that you think will be available to sign or trade for in the near future. Or far off future if that’s your plan.

Do you really care about losing the 1st round picks if the reward is Super Bowl though? I'm 100% sure that the Rams organization and fans aren't sitting around right now saying "Man, I really wish we wouldn't have traded those 1st round picks for guys like Stafford and Ramsey".

I don't know off the top of my head who's contracts will be up around the same time as Daks or who's relationship with their organization might sour. What if the Bengals or Chargers for some reason have a falling out with the QB and their QB all of a sudden wants out and wants a trade or refuses to resign? What if Aaron Rodgers wants to pull a Tom Brady and Green Bay get's tired of him? We just don't know how things will be 3 years from now, but there will be options.

I know you don't agree with me right now, but I believe by the end of Dak's current contract more people will agree with moving on from Dak then they do right now today.
