Lol his first one was a rookie contract. This is his first real contract.
The clause is pretty standard in all of the Cowboy contracts and Gregory's agent seemed to lie about it. Anyway, we are lucky hat he is gone.

I was simply pointing out that they have the CAP room right now to have signed Gregory and Schultz. They wouldn't need Fowler so that means they would be sitting with about $3 million in CAP room now and $10 million more after June 1. I am not sure why signing Gregory means they could not or would not have drafted Williams too.

It should be about putting the best team on the field that they can afford. I am not convinced Fowler at $3 million is going to be as good as Gregory at $14 million. And btw, Gregory's 2022 CAP number is only $5.6 million.
Yah I do think there needs to be an explanation as to the extra money and it’s use. Sesame nose burn yeah I love that place is this

So strange to now see every CZ member agree with me and see the light on Gregory. I celebrated the moment the Broncos signed him and most CZers at the time were crying like babies. I felt like I was on a Canadian website.

The object is not to field the most fiscally responsible team, its to field the best. If you had not signed Gregory but sign other impact free agents I would agree. The Cowboys would sell their car for gas money.

Cowboys contracts not a single other team does that. So who are the bozos here. Quick answer it aint the 31 other teams lol
Well…..if this is the first time anyone noticed it and the cowboys have it in all of them then I would say they duped the league.

but we know it’s not in all of them.

Actually that’s not how you run a franchise at all. If your fiscally dumb every year and wildly spend your apt to suck for a long time. Which is exactly why the cowboys haven’t won anything in 30 years.

The agent claimed he had never seen that clause before which was strange because it was in Gregory's previous contract and in the contract of that other knucklehead that he represents.

Anyone still complaining about losing Gregory? You could probably argue that we actually got Williams, Fowler, Armstrong, Kearse for the price of Gregory.

Its not even close for me.

Actually I like the 5 mil deal much better

The Cowboys haven't spent money on a high priced since Brandon Carr. They've been cheap for atleast 10 years now and where are the results?

I never cared we lost Gregory or wanted gregory here for that kind of $$. But just the ineptitude of the front office which we all kno about just was the icing on the cake for this team.
It looks like Jerry and Stephen would learn to stop negotiating contracts thru the media. Letting the media know about the team’s intentions does not help at the negotiating table. Players, their agents and other teams are always a step ahead of Jerry.
