I would like to see the College team that wins the NCAA go against the worst team in the NFL for that season. That would be a game I would watch.

They should just dump the game. If they're looking to do something different they could continue with unique skills challenges, olympic style or obstacle courses. Then have players compete in a Madden broadcast it live and see what happens.

Might as well make all the games this way. You can't really hit anyone anymore. You can barely look at a QB without getting a penalty.
I said it for years, today's players are pansies compared to the old dogs of the 50's, 60's. 70's, 80's and part of the 90's. Hell, they are pansies compared to all players before 1995.

Remember when the rookie for Green Bay (I think) got a career ending injury in a flag beach football game at the Pro Bowl?

They might go harder in this than the actual game.

I thought the same. Guys tearing ACLs grabbing ACLs not a good look. Different then going in for a tackle

My sources tell me that this is not the only change:

After each game the winner must apologize to the loser for making them feel minimized.

There is a penalty for any running play over ten yards. Also, the offending RB is ejected for bullying.

The game ends as soon as anybody is even slightly injured.

The "in the grasp" rule is slightly expanded to forbidding any defender from crossing the line of scrimmage. When an offensive player loses yards it's just creates too much negativity.

The winner is no longer determined by scoring, they are determined by "kindness" points. You can accumulate kindness points by helping an opponent up, moving out of the way so they can score, or serving them your team's gatorade.......during live plays..

Just get rid of it. Nobody watches.

It was neat back in the day when the players and their family got a free trip to Hawaii, but that doesn’t even matter with their salaries now.

Given the multi-billion dollar force of nature the NFL is in this country, I am surprised they haven’t come up with something better yet.

Honestly No one out side of people local and families their watch the game. look at the ratings its terrible. You could do an expanded Skills Comp morning of the game and then do a flag football game, but no need for offense / defense Lines really

Offensive vs. defensive line tug o' war? Pie-eating contest?

Being a bit more serious, I would probably forget about any kind of football game. Flag football is just going to leave fans wanting. I would go with a series of competition that allows the players to show off a variety of skills, with the winning conference getting the bigger reward, so that they have some reason to take it sort of seriously.

it already is.
1) return the game to hawaii.
2) let them wear their whole team uniform.
3) play the game under the old rules.
4) players on the winning side get a vacation to a destination of their choice paid for out of goodell's salary.

If fans aren’t tuning in for a traditional football game there’s no way they’re going to be tuning in to watch NFL players play flag football. It’s almost a laughable idea.

My 14 year old daughter plays A level Rep Hockey and for a chance she signed up to play on her High School flag football team....let me tell you it is worse than watching paint dry, but it gets her off snapchat and trains for the off season so the fact she enjoys it is fine, lol. The rules are a bit weird, but I suppose I would watch it for kicks. Apparently there is some sort of championship for it as well, haha.

Dump the game.
Too much TV money to walk away from. This is afterall sports entertainment at the highest level.

It’s basically already no contact football . Wearing shorts and playing flag football might be a solution.

But as long as TV rights are strong enough to broadcast this will continue in some format.
