a good WR, but a very uninspiring one also.
This is something that i have...spoken with...fans here before.
I even used that word "inspire".
I get "lead by example". I get "not a circus show". I never asked for a Dez meltdown.

But he was so blase sometimes I thought he was gonna take a nap. Not sure I have ever seen a player get up so slow after SO MANY plays.

I also agreed with my....fellow debaters...it was only what I could see on TV coverage. What else can I use?

Sometimes go ahead and give a leaping high five. Sometimes go ahead and bounce up even when you think you might be hurt. Sometimes, act like the game excites you! You could inspire the younger players.

"Good WR but uninspiring" is a perfect description.

Cooper is widely known as one of the BEST route runners in the league.
:lmao2:

Keep up the Homer defense of the JonesBoys though.
It’s very entertaining.

If you don't mind me asking...what constitutes a "best route runner"? Can "not best route runners" be effective good targets? Does it mean Coop doesn't fight for the ball in traffic?

Asking very respectfully and honestly. You might think I am dumb for not knowing....so since you mentioned it...what does it mean? THANKS!

In my opinion:
"Best" or "excellent" route runners are crisp, quick to get around defenders, and end up where their QB expects them to be. (How the play was drawn up.)

Other receivers can be effective, but rely on pure athleticism and a QB who either knows their tendencies or is good at finding them and throwing the ball where only they can catch it

Great route runners, run routes with precision

precise depth

precise angles

perceive timing. They also get exactly where they are supposed to be, at the exact time they are supposed to be there.

guys who aren’t great route runners can also be Effective receivers. Some receivers can win with their size, or their speed or their physicality. Some receivers don’t run as great of routes but have large catch radius’ because of their arm length, their body control and their hands.

But yeah. Cooper is an excellent route runner.

Okay cool....who other WR's do you consider as "best route runners"?

Okay...cool. That is a pretty good skill to have to run the play exactly as it's supposed to be.

Who cares.

I hope Cooper slacks off, takes plays off, decides to stand on the sideline during key games (especially in the 4th quarter), drops passes, gets injured often and starts blaming the QB, O-Coordinator, etc to the Browns the way he did here in Dallas.

Oh, and I hope he gets way overpaid for his halfarse effort.

Maybe at least skip the "injured often" part? Even if you don't like him, he wasn't a cancer.

I only said he was known as a great route runner. I think your question is for someone else.
No...it';s for you. I am trying to give your answer context. Not trick or trap you.

Pretty sad when people are so wary and suspicious.....:(

You used quotation marks around the words "best route runners", which made me believe you meant to address the person who used the phrase "best route runners". I'm not concerned with people trying to trap or trick me.

I honestly couldn't say who the best route runners are. All I can say is that Cooper is known as an excellent route runner. Though I imagine Tyreek Hill, along with being fast, is also an exceptional route runner, as was Jason Witten, even though he wasn't particularly fast.

Okay sheesh. I should have said "who do you consider "excellent route runners""....to avoid confusion. Sorry.

Thank you for giving a few examples. You can say "fast" "crisp" reliable" or "whoever" all day long. But actual player examples makes it much easier to gauge your gauge.

If he stays healthy and Deshaun Watson can return to form isn’t suspended for most of the season he’ll have a big year. I can assure you Cowboys Nation will be keeping track of his production in Cleveland.

I think he'll have a good season, but injuries will limit him some as usual. His lower-body issues are not going away any time soon. And I don't mean that as an insult. He should get a lot of credit for playing through his injuries without complaining, even if it seems to make some fans not appreciate him.
