Those who scoff at our FA preseason haul thus far, would you give 2 No. 1s for Deebo?

No, the dude is going to command 25-27 mil per year. Are you planning on letting Lamb walk? Also have to plan on resigning Diggs soon. You cannot have players at every position demanding top of the market salary.

If you look at Ben's numbers his downfall really started when AB left also. AB's last year was Ben's last great year. He lead the NFL in passing yards (5,129) and had 34 TD passes.

Ben's 2020 and 2021 seasons look really good stat wise, but if you watched him those years he clearly was a shell of himself and could not play at the level he used too.

AB made a lot of guys look better than they were at that time.

I HOPE that's not what happens with CeeDee, but we will see. Cooper has never been anywhere near the level of WR as AB, but still, a #1 receiver getting attention helps you look better.
Cooper the last two years was not close to prime AB. Coop has not been great since 2018. His foot injuries caught up to him. This is basically a contract year for CeeDee.

There isn't many WRs in history close to prime AB.

We'll see how it goes once the season starts. I just remember what we looked like Pre-Cooper in 2018 and remember how much he changed things when he got here. We're 0-2 without him since we traded for him, not a big sample size, but I know how bad things looked. I think he is much more important to this offense then people want to believe. Maybe things have evolved and are different now. I don't know. We'll see.

A No. 1 in 2023 and again in 2024 for a sullen Deebo?
Or a No. 1 in 2023 and a No. 2 in 2024 for Deebo?
(I do believe the 49ers know they'd be picking 15 in 2023 and 2024 anyway and not some high number. So either scenario would be generous, lads. Very generous.)

Look, suburban folk, you can't get anything of value without giving up something of value, correct?

So, debt-ridden lads of the Metroplex and beyond, if you really, really want Deebo and Stephen finds the money to pay Deebo, tha is a plausible way.
It is a 2 way street, blokes.

I wouldn't trade or pay Deebo this point. We don't have the qb needed to utilize him.

2018 Cooper was a marvel. He was better then OBJ. He single handedly turn our season around. Dak owes 2018 Coop his career.

Absolutely not. Outside of ignoring the Cap ramifications, It's pretty ridiculous for anyone to even suggest giving up (2) 1st rounders to obtain Deebo.

Besides..Part of the reason that Deebo is a "great" player, is how he's used and how he excelled in that role in SF. I find it funny that all the people that want Deebo never consider what Deebo actually said about how he's utilized. He has said himself that he doesn't want to continue as a "hybrid" WR/RB anymore (surely due to the wear/abuse on his body), which is also part of the reason he wants out of SF. Sure he may very well be a decent WR, but we also don't know how "Great" he would be if used solely as a wideout in another offensive scheme. (especially a scheme not as creative as Kyle Shanahan's) .That unknown alone warrants caution.

Please step away from the cliff that so many want to stand over every year.
Yeah we lost Amari Cooper. And yes, he is a great route runner.. But let's be honest, he still wasn't considered one of the elite WRs in the league. Possibly fringe top 10. He may have taken over a handful of games, yet his 'game by game' production was inconsistent. That said, let's see what Tolbert and James Washington have to offer. We still have two of last years trio in Gallup and Lamb, not to mention the emergence of Schultz. And many have clamored for Pollard to get more touches, Welp..now's his chance. The Cowboys have plenty of players that can move the chains. The sky isn't falling.. and maybe, just maybe, one of these younger "no name" WRs will show up and surprise us.

In a heartbeat playmakers like Deebo don't grow on trees. Our offense would be elite with Deebo. Plus we would probably picking really low if we got Deebo and the first Rd draft picks wouldn't matter.

Yes. And I canna stress that one gets quality but at a price. Stephen is nickle and diming no-name free agents. If were are going to spend Jerrphen, use your wad (no, Jerry, cash!) for the big time. Swing for the 800 feet wall, get a googly in cricket, sign the nearest facsimile of a modern Deion. A game changer.
We are stuck with Dak and his dimmer brother Zeke.
Is wanting Deebo with a star a bad thing.

Trading away high draft value for a WR for lots of salary when Cooper was dispatched to Cleveland , poor guy , makes zero sense .

Lamb Washington Tolbert Brown probably Roberson UDFA over Fehoko also Vasher etc etc …the real concern is the offensive line upgraded enough to get the 140 million QB looking like he did against TB and the Patriots last yr and not the one on display against the 49ers .
