And let's be honest and frank, ... whose gonna sit around a TV on their valuable spare time to seriously watch that ?
Watch Flag Football ?
That's a soft charity event. That's like celebrity golf and or water dunk booth.

Players want to be named to be voted to the Pro Bowl, but they are not really gonna physically want to play the football game in the Pro Bowl.
Besides just the All Pro voting.. something else is likely gonna replace the 'Pro Bowl' voting, with there no longer being a Pro Bowl game.

Quit beating around the bush. What we want to watch is the Dallas Cowboy's Cheerleaders playing flag football at the end of the season.

The NHL is a violent sport. Yet somehow, they’ve kept their all star game and skills competition watchable over the years.

The Pro Bowl is already a flag football game. Well actually it's even softer than that.. It's a two hand touch football game. If I stumble across it while channel surfing on a Sunday afternoon in late January I can't bring myself to watch more than a couple pansy *** snaps before I puke and have to turn the channel.

It has been flag football for decades. Over/ under on the game is probably 125.

E Sports is a thing now. Most players play Madden. They should just have a Madden tournament. I am sure they could make it interesting with proper editing.

Pro bowl has become an embarrassment and means nothing to most. "Pro bowl player" who cares its damn near a popularity contest now.

Skill challengers almost a joke. Players jog through drills and the game has already been touch football for years.
Just a fan voting contest that has no validity.

Fans have become disinterested in the pro bowl because it’s already like flag football. Good luck drawing any fan interest turning it into a real flag football game. Lol No way are fans going to tune in to watch a bunch of NFL stars running around in shorts and T-shirts, clowning around playing a flag football game.

Dump the game.

No way.

The problem with the pro bowl is the product is a little lack luster, i.e, people have no interest in watching the pro bowl game, because it's not something you can really get excited about.

If you want to offer a product that will actually attract more viewers, and yield higher ratings, then you:

  1. Pay all the players, maybe the winner gets more, but pay them all
  2. Let the fans vote on the plays (nothing sells better these days than interaction)
  3. Mic up/helmet cam all players, so you can watch the entire game through any pro bowlers perspective
  4. Instead of NFL coaches, allow players with coaching potential to coach the game
Just those four things would make for a much more enjoyable game.

Make it Pro-Am flag football with some celebrities or something. Would be more entertaining.

Make it the Pro Bowl Recognition event….25 players per conference. Not All Pro, but All Conference. Keep it a secret until the event. Then introduce each team, 1x1, with season highlights of the player at his position, along with some comments from a few opponents or opposing coaches.

We all enjoy highlights, and we would actually watch for the highlights, to hear what opposing players say about them, and to see how many of our players make it…..at least I would. I haven’t watched the Pro Bowl for more than 5 minutes in years! A show like this could be very entertaining. Besides opponents, you could even get some comments from former players and colorful coaches.

Forget the game of the early years and make it an entertainment thing for football fans while recognizing deserving players. This would also keep the lousy alternates out of it. Injured? Playing in the SB? No problem, we will watch the greatest runs, blocks, passes, catches, sacks, bone crunching tackles, etc from the best players each season.
