Both will probably get cut this fall. I'm not sure even if this trade happens that either of these players make their new teams. It's like some fantasy football trades making a trade just for the sake of making a trade. I'd rather see what the young WRs have before turning to a vet and lots of others id consider before Harry.

Call me what you want.. I believe Hill will have a decent season. It won’t be obvious to most bc he’ll still be in a heavy rotation, but a few more splash plays will be noticeable.

Remember its a contract year for Hill. And it’s amazing how players miraculously have career years when a new contract is pending:rolleyes:. I know he’s been a “bust” so far.. but he was drafted young and just turned 24yo. The kid has the athletic ability to be special if he’d get his head screwed on right.

That said.. I’m not impressed with Harry and would rather see our young WRs. Not to mention, if we are going to add a veteran WR.. I want someone with more skins on the wall, like Randall Cobb a couple years ago.

N’Keal Harry’s draft profile:

Weaknesses:
  • Lacks speed
  • Not twitchy
  • Not explosive
  • Not fast in and out of breaks
  • Lacks suddenness
  • Can't stretch a defense with speed
  • Won't separate from NFL corners with route-running

.. na, I’ll pass.

I love the way the article puts it, a towering WR. You mean that bum, Harry?

Harry did have 33 receptions for 309 yards and 2 receptions in 2020. I'm not sure that we can say we've gotten more out of Hill. He was brought in as the 3-tech answer, but has half a sack in three years, 8 QB hits and 27 total tackles. Granted, he's also missed a lot of time, but those numbers don't exactly scream that we'd be trading a bust for a worst bust. I mean, it isn't like Ced Wilson had done more than Harry before last year.

I'd be all for getting something for Hill because I don't think he makes the team this year. Maybe if he beats out Bohanna. I expect Gallimore, Odighizuwa, Watkins and Ridgeway to be kept. Golston, since he's beefed up, might be counted in the DT group, especially since we've got Lawrence, Fowler, Armstrong, Williams and Basham as pretty much locks at end. Not counting Bohanna or Hill, that gives us 10 DL, and we'd probably keep 11 at most, but that's pushing it.
Harry would not make this roster.

Signing a veteran receiver won’t immediately make the Cowboys the team to beat, but it will certainly cover up some of the holes they have on their roster.

If the Cowboys hope to not only contend in the NFC, but want to hold off the Eagles for supremacy in the NFC East, the Jones' should leave their short-sighted thinking at the door. Why they're so against signing a veteran receiver is mind boggling.
It really won't. Noah Brown, our 5th WR, is better than NKeal.

Yeah, it seems like a possible trade, except......

I'm hearing some really good things about Hill during the minicamps. The guy can pop and if he could just stay healthy enough, he could end up being pretty good. Meanwhile, I think that when a receiver hasn't done anything in three years, he just isn't really going to do anything.

Besides, if Belicek can't get something out of him, how are Cowboys coaches going to succeed?

Belicek truly is one of those "best with the least" kind of coaches. How did Bum Phillips put it? He'll take his guys and beat your guys, then he'll take your guys while you take his guys and he'll beat you again..
