And right now Micah Parsons is smiling. Parsons better get a back brace to support his wallet when his 2nd contract comes.

Thankfully any huge cap hit from Parsons won't show up until 2027. Extend him as quickly as possible, (after his 3rd year) and hope the cap spikes by then.

Salary cap is a made up number. The league shares revenue and the stadium ended up costing like 5 billion and the NFL headquarters is now located there.

There has got to be some financial motivation as far as the Rams are concerned that are hidden somewhere that impacts the entire leagues profits that we don’t know about.

And let’s be clear, Parsons is not AD, who has been arguably the best defensive player in the league since he’s come into the league, who dominates both in the run and the pass. You don’t need to move AD around to get him match-ups, you need to send help against him consistently. The guy is HOF year in and year out and basically turned it on in the 4th quartet of the SB to get his.

Strange that he basically threatened to retire if he didn't get a new deal when 1. He's was still the highest paid DT in the league even with his deal being 4 years old and 2. He was already the 2nd highest paid player on the roster behind Stafford

Donald is more than just HoF, he is a strong strong candidate for being called the best defensive player of all time.

I agree. What I meant was he plays like a HOF player year in and year out.

Yes, exactly. Jerry better not wait and use the franchise tag. None of those games. Lock him up ASAP.

I'm waiting for the next scandal on how the Rams used a special software to manipulate the cap.

Status. Prestige. Same with Rodgers. Accumulate stats, hang your MVPs on the wall, sit down on the couch and watch the Super Bowl.

Donald got his ring. Now he wants to be paid for his part. People get funny when it comes to money.

They dont reach or win the SB without him. Lock HOFer. Nothing is more important on defense than a player that continually disrupt the pocket.

It amazes me that the Rams find ways to fit Aaron Donald, Matthew Stafford, Jalen Ramsey, and Cooper Kupp under the same salary cap.
It shouldn't There was a time we had 4 lineman making top 4 money a top rb contract top wr money and witt was still getting paid for the position. It's about depth and drafting well.

And the Rams have hit in that their stars have played well. Imagine if they have not and got injured or needed to be cut. They've rolled the dice and won.

If he continues to play as 2021 he will price himself out of a 2nd contract in Dallas
