Here is Dak's career vs the first 6 seasons that Romo actually played. So Romo has the advantage of having 2 years to sit and learn and work on his mechanics and learn the offense while Dak got thrown in.

Dak's numbers are all better.

Talent around Dak was much better, he was handed a ready made team....

LOL! Romo was very good though not great. He was far better at the LOS pre snap. He was also a more accurate passer. Generally speaking the receiver did not need to contort their body to bring the ball in and could hit runners in stride.

Romo is better. Unfortunately, he was snakebit (when things went bad he didn’t get much help) and handicapped by bad coaching and talent acquisition on the lines for far too much time in his career. He had some good teams but not SB quality ones on both sides of the ball, and other teams he was on had no business being 8-8 if it wasn’t for him. He could’ve been a Cinderella story with a better managed franchise.

Do you also believe Dak and Romo are better than Aikman and Staubach? Because I'm sure they have them beat in those same stats too.

The QB position, even from when Romo got started, has changed a lot and those stats without context are misleading and is no accurate indicator of who the better player is.

Unfortunately by the time Romo got really really good his body was shot. But when he was healthy his last 3 years he was better than Dak.
Romo was healthy? Just kidding .This I’ll endorse but there’s still time for Dak to elevate more but the cowboys need to be looking for their next qb !
