After a 0-5 start both McCarthy and Moore are fired, Quinn takes over as the interim coach and Joe Philbin is the offensive coordinator.

Dak is out for the season after game #2, Pollard is out after game #4. In five games the Cowboys have managed to score in the double digits twice.

Lamb is questionable for game #6 and he's been out since game #3.

Tyron Smith has yet to see the field and Tyler Smith is struggling as his replacement. The whole left side of the offensive line is struggling with Connor McGovern and Tyler Biadasz receiving the most blame for the complete demise of what used to be the #1 ranked offense.

Much of the defense is hobbling due to the fact that they spend two thirds of the time on the field.

I totally suck at predictions. Realizing this, I figured this is the most useful way I can help the team.

Coming out of that stretch 2-3, with wins over the Giants and Commodes, might not be such a bad thing. This team has a habit of starting to smell themselves a bit to much when they have some success. A little scratching and clawing through the first half of the season could benefit them when it gets real around T-day.

It bugs me to admit we'll likely follow the pattern, especially early-on in the season to end up with 2-3 after our 1st give games. I'm expecting it might well take a while to outgrow our habit of losing to the winning teams and beating the tar out of the bad ones. Let's hope we get lucky.

First off, we dont lose to all the good teams. That is a troll myth.

2nd, most teams, even the best ones in the NFL typically have 500 records or worse against playoff caliber teams.

The best teams typically are the ones that always clobber the bad teams and split against the better teams. Thats how you get to 12-5 type records.

First of all, much depends upon how many lousy teams you're likely to be fortunate to play. Now, that's no myth at all.

Secondly, we're fortunate enough to play in an amazingly crappy division. Thus, that has much to do with how we manage to easily win far more than we tend to lose.

The best teams like the Rams, Tampa Bay and the Chiefs are also fortunate enough to play in divisions with lesser teams. It gets them in the playoffs in a regular manner. The biggest difference with them and us is that the win once in the playoffs and become regarded as "elite," while we're always one and done and seen as average.

3-2 would be a successful start to the season. I’d say it’s 50/50 we go 3-2 or 2-3.

So my official prediction is 2-2-1

1 Sept. 11 vs. Buccaneers (SNF) 7:20 p.m. CT NBC JERRY DOME
Kellen will catch the league off guard with his early creativity and the Bucs short passing game won't be able to keep pace. Cowboys drop a 50 burger

2 Sept. 18 vs. Cincinnati Bengals 3:25 p.m. CBS JERRY DOME
Micah blows past our old friend L. Collins for a sack fumble that seals a 1 score victory. Boys 27-20

3 Sept. 26 at New York Giants (MNF) 6:15 p.m. ABC / ROAD
I mean...it's New York. Boys by 17

4 Oct. 2 vs. Washington Potatos 12 p.m. Fox JERRY DOME
Skins gonna give us trouble. Wentz this early should be healthy and he has a good running game. That DL will be hellish. Boys lose by 10

5 Oct. 9 at Los Angeles Rams 3:25 p.m. Fox ROAD
This is a great place to play the Rams, by now we should have rounded into form but not be too banged up. Kellen unviels some Tony Pollard / CeeDee Lamb wrinkle that catches em off guard and we eek out a 3 point dub.

4-1 and on our way to the Superbowl. Anything else at this point is simply unacceptable...unless you want 5-0, I can talk myself into it lol

actually they did last season.and in 20 before dak got hurt.
chargers were a good team, but did not make playoffs.

Cowboys beat the Eagles twice and the Partiots. All playoff teams. They also took the Bucs to the final minutes. So your claim is nothing but garbage.

Cowboys were the first team to throw for over 400 yards against a bellichek defense is 10 years or something crazy like that.

More troll myths that get blown out of the water.

2-3

But it would be great to start off with a win against the Bucs but that's asking too much.

I didnt consider the eagles a good team, maybe you do ??:omg:
The pats didnt make the playoffs did they? and they were not exactly a good team early on or even at end of year.
They look promising but not good.

So your claim is nothing but garbage.......why are you always so rude??

They made the playoffs so they are a good team. The fact that we destroyed them twice doenst change that. It simply points out how wrong you are or that you dont watch other teams play other than the Cowboys.

Well.............why do you make up lies and talk BS? Thats called garbage.

Yes Pats made the playoffs.

They also beat the Chargers, the Vikings, and the Saints. Not playoff teams, but not easy teams to beat.

Also held their own against the Bucs.

1-5 vs playoff teams that didn’t come out of the NFC Least.

Even I wouldn’t categorize the Eagles as a good team last year. Teams that hover around .500 and make the playoffs made it due to circumstance as much as perfomance. We had a 4th place schedule, we got New Orleans when Jameis was hurt, we barely beat Carolina when Mccaffrey was conveniently out, and we still had an 8 loss season.

So that 7th wild card spot now indicates a team is good when they wouldn’t have been the year previous?

LOL.....so certain playoff teams dont count eh? Typical troll behavior. 3-5 and the Bucs were a tossup.

So the notion that the Cowboys cant beat good teams or dont is a lie.

Chargers, Saints, Vikings, were other good teams the Cowboys beat.

At 12-5 the ONLY teams they lost to in the regular season were 4 playoff teams and the Cardinals. The beat everyone else.

Another troll myth gets blown out of the water.

You can count all playoff teams, but that does not make all playoff teams good teams, which was his argument. Mediocre teams make the playoffs all the time, ESPECIALLY now as the 7th seed.

The cowboys whooped teams that failed to win even 10 games in a 17 game season, that we can all agree on.
