Brown got absolutely worked by Brown in the season opener. Good for a 6th round pick? Yes. Trust to start 17 games a season? No.

Great WRs do that to almost all CBs. Doesnt mean Brown hasnt been decent a starter.

So weird. One poster is going on a spree saying AB sucks and is the weakest link lol. Reminds you why some fans are just fans.

You don’t get all these good stats and starts and it’s all a fake irrelevant facade. At the end of the day dude was an above average CB for 15/17 games. I’ll take that for a normal starter any day of the week.

So the best you can say is he was above average? And you will take that as a starter any day? LOL

Maybe its just me, but Ill take the guy that is great corner most weeks and then a good corner on just a few weeks.

Some people just have low standards I guess. How many SB's are we going to win with just above average starters?

IN other years when the pass rush wasnt as good, Brown has gotten completely toasted on a regular basis.

He single handily lost the Oakland game for us. Brown completely torched him in the Bucs opener.

Just think, you can have your dream secondary with Brown, Jones, Heath and Barry Church. And I will even throw in Jaylon Smith on the side as one of your linebackers. You should be tickled pink over that kind of talent.

I think lewis is a better cover guy. I would have put AB in the slot and JD outside. I will say you are right about the coaching. I think hes a solid player and a steal in the 6th round. We should however be hoping KJ can win that outside job across from diggs
Didn't Brown cover the slot for a sample, I can't recall.

I agree but he keeps getting better each year. Has he reached his ceiling yet? Will see

Heath had more big plays in the 2016 playoffs than Ceedee had against San Fran.
I think he sucks. He certainly doenst play well enough for someone to stick up for him. Or make a thread about how good he is. That sounds a little pathetic to me.

Kinda like the people that thought Heath was good. He sucked too. You dont stick up for weak links. Weak links need to be replaced, not applauded.

And please dont respond with "Cant have all pros everywhere" argument. Its old and used up.

Can’t have 11 stars man sorry to break it to ya. I’ll take an above average starter any day of the week when he’s not the 1 at his position. We have our star corner his name is Diggs.

He had two bad games out of 17, that’s a normal amount of bad games to have in a season. Anyone not named Zack Martin and Micah Parsons had at least 1 or 2 bad games last year.

If your #2’s are above average and have these types of metrics then you have a good team brother. Anthony Brown could be upgraded yes but that upgrade would be a pro-bowler. If Joseph becomes that then great, but you can’t be calling an above average starter at a #2 spot “the weakest link”.

Counting the slot as a starter, dude would be a starting outside CB or slot CB for 29/30 teams in this league. Rarely do you see teams with 3 pro-bowl corners on one team and I do not see any this upcoming year, but maybe I’m missing one.

Bottom line is if he plays like an above average corner we are at least solid at CB. Remember he did make what should have been the game winning pick versus San Fran. Gave the O the ball back with 4 mins and 2 timeouts.

Problem is that he isnt even average. Hes a below average corner.

He is just like Heath. A great backup, but a low end starter. And when he is your 2nd corner, thats a big problem.

I also wouldnt be bragging or starting threads about anyone if they were just above average.

I also wouldn t brad about being "solid" at anything. Solid means you arent good.

Its kind of wild how strong the 2020 CB class has been despite the 1st round being a complete trainwreck minus Terrell. And some people thought Terrell was a reach
The 1st round is epic bad....and to top it off...Gladney just died...that's just...ouch. Jeff Okudah is the real one though that just makes the first round class look terrible.

He got worked by Antonio Brown. One of the best receivers of his time...that' hardly as criminal as you make it sound. You can only go to the Buccaneers and Raiders games to point his bad performances.

Who says hes above average? I say he sucks. Below average. I think plenty would agree.

This is another Heath laugher.
Except there was nothing to suggest Heath was a good player. You believe he sucks because you have this warped view of what the cornerback position is in 2022.

He got roasted by Hill against KC whenever he was covering him. I can understand you have to keep Hill in front of you. But he let Hill catch it short, then ran right around Brown.

That's another one....Hill is one of the best receivers in the game. I'm not here to say Brown is a top flight corner. I'm just saying he had a solid year last year and as a #2 he's what you'd hope for. A guy on a solid deal who's contributing.

Yes when he played slot with byron and chido outside. I liked him in the slot.

To go into further detail. J lew played great outside when chido go injured. And the defense played better. Of course as soon as that bum richard came he benched J lew cuz of height before they even took a practice rep. If given the chance j lew would have taken the outside job he had the confidence and momentum from the end of the previous year

Any actual metrics you have? Any data? This is just an opinion at this point backed up by no facts
