Not to mention all the picks they gave
Or all the interest they’ve been getting to get the great Baker Mayfield
Not even a 7th offered lol

Exactly!!! Nobody is offering anything for Mayfield and he got his job taken by a suspended player who's return is up in the air.... oh and I forgot about all of the draft picks the Browns gave up.

Yep!!! The cast off is better than Dak!!! Smmfh... this drug epidemic is really spreading fast!!

don't be fooled by empty calorie stats , which is what dak's career boils down to . 23% win percentage against good teams and 1 playoff win at home in 6 seasons, heck Mayfield has a bettter record and a win on the road against pittsburgh the season before .
Looking at the stats you posted is misleading as it would mean that dak is better than Kyler Murray and Russell wilson and Justin Herbert and otheres ?? No NFL executive would take dak over these QBs. Stats don't tell the whole story.
Not to mention dak's monster contract which is going to keep costing the cowboys roster talent .
I’d love to see the math on your .23
And by the way baker hasn’t won much against winning teams

Speaking of relevance if Zeke bought the 6 game suspension from Roger Goodwill what’s Watson looking at ?

I would love to bring in a solid veteran who could push Dak and light a fire under his feet, but to say Mayfield is better than Dak is truly hilarious.
The nfl doesn’t have 32 solid starters so it’s really hard to find a solid backup. There aren’t many of them and they get good money. Dalton wasn’t bad but that’s about the quality of a very few guys

I’d take jimmy over baker any day

I don’t know we move on from Dak to get a bus driver ? I don’t want either Mayfield or Jimmy G. Besides I read where the 49ers are so thrilled with Trey Lance they want him on the sidelines AGAIN . Jimmy looks like the Santa Clara starter again .

I believe baker at a reasonable 15-20 million contract will be a far better option for the cowboys in the next 4-6 years than Dak .
Mayfield can ignite this offense and make better use of the receivers and OL we have .
Not to mention that dak has become injury prone, and has wild inconsistencies and slumps during the season.
You smoking the good basil there Basel?

No one wants to pay his 5th year option. I think they want the Browns to pick that up.

Yeah, if the 49ers want to be relevant, Garoppolo has to start. Unfortunately for them.

That’s because they know he’s not worth 18 which they could easily lower if they extended him
18 mil for a starting qb isn’t expensive
If they thought he was a starting quality QB they would just extend him since they wouldn’t want him being a FA after one year

Listen, Dak has many things he has to improve on and MUST take another big step this year, no question. But its hilarious that Dak is expected to be elite after 5 full seasons of football as a 4th round pick... but yet he's mysteriously held to higher standards in some people eyes than FIRST round drafted quarterbacks after just 5 or 6 seasons.

I dont buy the excuse that Stafford wasn't successful because of where he played for 11 years. If he was a great quarterback, he would have elevated his team pass most of their short comings. So I can't fully give him that excuse.

Now on the flip side, Brady as great as he is, had the benefit of playing in a historically weak division for over a decade. Must've been nice huh....
very good points indeed.

We aren’t moving on from Dak
But I’d take jimmy over baker if we didn’t have Dak
Jimmy doesn’t have the talent but he’s a team player who can run a system designed for him
He doesn’t make waves even when it’s obvious the 49ers want to upgrade him. He’s a true professional
Baker, not so much

Your trust in dak may be a bit too optimisitic. 1 playoff win at home in 6 years !! Heck baker beat dak face to face here in dallas , and it was not close. and baker has a more recent and more impressive road win against pittsurugh on the road.
Not sure why you are so high on Dak ?? especially at 42 mil a year. Dak is not even on the top 3 most talented on the cowboys list. That is just crazy. Baker , when healthy is more effective than Dak, and more affordable.
I didn’t say I completely trust Dak. He has some issues. But any honest view comparing Dak to Baker Mayfield would make it clear Dak is better. Mayfield is ok at best. His accuracy, interception to TD ratio, not to mention leadership is well below Dak. Saying “Baker beat Dak face to face” implies some kind of boxing match or poker game. Last I checked, football is a team game.

I have seen Mayfield play since he was a high school player at Lake Travis HS near Austin. He was an excellent HS QB. Saw him play several games at Texas Tech his freshman yr and he was very good. But when he got hurt and had to compete to win back his job back, he got mad and quit. But Tech fans all knew he would have lost his starting job anyway. There was this other QB…a guy named Mahomes who was up and coming.

Mayfield quit and went to OU. Where he again won the starting job and was good. But instead of acting like a leader he grabbed his crotch on national tv taunting opponents, planted a flag at midfield in Columbus (later got beat by Ohio State when it mattered more) and talked big trash to opponents like Kansas whose roster was not made up of 30 NFL players like the OU roster he was on. He was not a leader.

Baker Mayfield is an ok NFL QB as his stats show. He’s not in the same category as Dak. If it’s your opinion that Mayfield is better than Dak, you are certainly entitled to your opinion. But the facts say otherwise. And apparently a bunch of NFL teams who could really use an upgrade at QB are collectively saying “no thanks.”

Baker went to Lake Travis?
All my best bonfire parties were... uh around the area.
Many memories there, but I was playing just before the Drew Brees era at Westlake.
