One thing to notice about the list is the all-decade type Olines arent really around anymore. New Orleans when they had like 3 all-pros, you guys, TB… everyone lost tons of talent.

So Dallas being 6th isn’t unreasonable when you look at the flawed lines ahead of you. Cleveland is still 2 somehow, even though all their guys have injury problems and they lost their superstar center. TB is top 5 despite losing many vital pieces and going into 2022 with some unknowns.

So you see Philadelphia at the top and some may question that, I don’t think there’s a line that’s even close to knocking us off right now (until someone steps up). So in that world, Dallas absolutely is worthy of 6
I can't see it, but it's all talk and opinions this time of year anyway...

Coaching will make this unit a top10 or a bottom 10

Was going to say exactly this. Martin rates out so highly it buoys multiple other lower PFF-graded lineman. We have had the same thing with Kelce for years
Right and having two great linemen and average guys around them...just isn't enough. You'd do better having one great guy and the rest above average.

What year did SOME football fans start trusting PFF’s opinion, and STOP trusting their own EYES?
Say hello to 2021!!!!!!!!!!

Our offensive line was so dominant last year, the Whiners D kicked their butt, all over the field, for 4 quarters.

Our coaching staff decided the O line was so dominant in 2021, that they would get rid of 2 of them during the off season. Should have got rid of Biadaz too.

Use your own EYES and it’s obvious this O line was not very good, and definitely not top 5. I didn’t even mention they led the league in penalties!

While PFF is only one site damn near every major website matrix had the cowboys OL ranked in the top 5-10 range.

Do your "eyes" watch the 31 other OL'S 17 games out of the season? No so your eye test means absolutely nothing in the big picture.

Penalties were a huge factor no doubt and the OL had a terrible game against the 49ers. Could happen to anyone any week.

Denial is the first step to understanding the big picture

The Cowboys will always grade out well because of how well Martin and Tyron grade out. They are always two of the best linemen in the league so it inflates any offensive line rankings Dallas has. It’s why a unit ranked lower can outperform Dallas. They may not have two linemen as good as those two but they have a more balanced front.

Sure, having two pro bowl talents helps. As does the lack of talent at OL across the NFL.

Biadasz and Williams being suspect anchors right next to each other was a problem. We will have to see if they get better with Tyler.

Did you use those eyes to watch all 32 teams? Did you use those eyes to see how other team's OL fared against the Niners front?

Talk about being in denial!

You just stated; the OL had a terrible game against the 49ers. Could happen to anyone any week. Did you actually think our OL matched up against the Niners DL? I sure didn’t. I watched our OL all year with my eyes. I was hoping they would play well but, I wasn’t confident they would. I forgot your opinion of our OL came from PFF, or some other web site, which said they were top 5. No wonder you were surprised they got their butt kicked all over the field.

I watched a lot of football.

There were not 27 OL’s worse than ours. Also, the Niners DL dominated our OL. A top 5 OL doesn’t get their butt kicked all over the field for 4 quarters.

Why did we get rid of 2 starters if the OL was so good Mr. PFF?

They weren’t a bad Oline until injuries started happening, Connor Williams racking up penalties and his sub wasn’t ready to go, and LC was not ready for gameday all season. One could say everything was interrelated.

We’re still assuming though that Tyron stays healthy this year and Tyler Smith is worth the pick. Hearing from minicamps comments from players impressed by Smith’s strength, and saying he’s best LG since Ron Leary definitely improves my faith in that.

Every top websites matrix had the cowboys finished in the top 10 overall. Pass defense was incredible while the rush block was mediocre to meh towards the end.

Like I said this forum acts like we have a trash tier OL. Just shows how bad others have it. Simple to see we have glaring issues while watching every game while ignoring every other OL in football.

However it's all about injuries like any other thing and penalties.

Eagles may have one hell of an offense however Hurts is not the answer imo. Don't understand the love for him. He's medicore at best and they would be WAY better off with Minshew
I wonder how many watch anything other than Cowboys games.

When they do these rankings, they assume health. Tyron Smith is a future HOFer who graded out in elite territory in their grading system last year. We replaced the most penalized G in the league with a first round pick. We have a HOFer at right G. Steele has less upside than Collins, but Collins rarely played to that upside. So, they may consider it a wash. Biadez is middle of the league at his position.

As is always the case with this OL, it all hinges on the health of Tyron Smith.

Understatement. We lead the league in points and yards. How bad could they have been, right?

They scored 240 points against the NFCE in 6 games and 290 points in the other 11 games. Should tell you something.

I agree but we are talking about rankings which are stat based. No question our division has inflated team and individual stats.
