What would have a healthy Romo done in 2016?

I didnt see anything pre 2016 that leads me to believe Romo would have led us to any type of championship......but yet his legend continues to grow...
Most likely the more of a continued less successful playoff runs by our current QB with arguably better teams and probably better coaching , Romo’s legend could grow . Nothing like choking or suking more to make the other guy look better . Lol

Ultimately Dak will need to help lead us to at least a championship game appearance to elevate himself above Romo.

You said you can’t play if you can’t stay on the field which I don’t think anyone would disagree with . After he returned from injury he could have stayed on the field . He certainly looked capable to most. That was basis of my rebuttal.

At least we agree it would have been interesting to see what he could have done after he returned .
He played a drive, I'm not willing to make a change according to that. I think it worked out the best that it could have given the circumstances. Tough call either way. Romo literally gave his body up to play.

Understood and agree on last two sentences but you made it out initially like he was still injured. Based on his prior history I think most felt after that one drive we saw enough to know he was ready to play.

Go watch how easily he got injured to refresh your memory.

Understood but he was recovered at that time. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t get hurt again . And if he did we had Dak. Just saying..

I don't know if we win the Super Bowl, but we would've at least beat Green Bay.

If I remember correctly wasn't Green Bay missing their 2 starting CBs that game?

Romo would have known how to take advantage of that and wouldn't have waited until we're already down 28-13 going into the 4th quarter to do anything.

…. about.

I would think so too, without Dak’s struggles in the 1st half of that game the score would be much better and by third qtr we would have been leaning heavy on the run game and keeping GB offense at bay.

I'm going with the odds. Romo played with a collapsed lung, broken ribs and a broken throwing hand. Recovered is flimsy with that guy.

It’s not like we wouldn’t have still had Dak. We could have played both for that matter.

Yea, because he looked like crap "leading the league" in passing and playing at a near MVP level 2014. Glasses were cheap in 2014, maybe you should have invested in a pair.

Knowing that a rookie QB has never lead a team to a Super Bowl victory, I would have rolled the dice with Romo. What would the result have been? Who knows? But going with a rookie QB with a stacked roster knowing its never been done before screams lack of common sense and foresight by Jerry and Stephen.

As long as he avoided the untimely INT the Cowboys may have been superbowl bound. Tony Romo was sooooo good and so much fun to watch until disaster struck.

It was always so much fun to watch Romo run an offense. How well the guy understands the game is really underrated. And to be honest the Cowboys 2016 offense was so simplistic with a rookie Dak. So many empty backfield shotgun formations. Not saying that as a bad thing or a knock on Dak, but the Cowboys were very vanilla and utilized formations that forced defenses to show their hands. It's what you should do with a rookie QB. I'm very curious what a healthy Romo could have done with that unit, especially with a rookie Zeke and one of the best Olines in Cowboys history.
Look at the results 2 years earlier in 2014 and you’ll have your answer how 2016 would’ve transpired with Romo. Those teams were essentially the same save Romo instead of Dak and Murray instead of Zeke. Rookie Zeke was better than DeMarco, but not more than what would have been offset by Romo’s skill and experience vs. Dak.

Part if the success was a new and unpredictable offense which forced defenses to cover the whole field. As far as individual stats Romo would have never put up Dak's numbers.
Now if u want to talk last year Romo would have been superior.

Ya'll don't think Romo would have done better than this in 2016?:

Dak's rankings:
19th in passing yards (right behind Wentz)
16 in passing TDs (tied with Blake Bortles:lmao:)

24th in yards per game (right behind Miami Dolphins version Ryan Tennenhill)

Come on, ya'll that don't think Romo would have done better are just fooling yourselves. We went 13-3 with a QB that was below average in basically everything. We probably go 15-1 with Romo, beat the Packers, and lose in the NFC Championship to Atlanta.
