So is McCarthy telling us there is nothing they could have done with the other two days to improve as a football team? Or was it that there as so many guys being held of of practice due to injuries that they could not hold an effective practice?

I wonder what the Eagles and Giants will do with their 3 days of mini-camp.
The thought of your opponents working harder than you motivates some people.

It seems once you walk though the doors of the Dallas Cowboys facility you're taught to take the shortcuts when presented and if things get to tough we'll just cut everything short.

Did I just really read that they cut it from a 3 day mini camp to a 1 day camp because they felt they crossed the finish line?

Did I really just read that?

The softness of this organization literally continues to surprise me.

It's little things like this, the shortcuts, the days off, the babying of player that is the reason we are considered a joke of a franchise now.
Weren't they fined last yr for going to hard at minicamp?

I don't know what the reason was. I don't think it ever came out, did it?

But them and 2 other teams were fined and the Cowboys fines were much less sever than the other teams that were fined.

Meh.
They just had multiple days of OTAs last week. I can believe that they got done what they needed to do over this time frame, so I don't think that slaving away for 2 more days in the middle of June would add that much for veterans.

The Eagles didn't even have a mandatory mini camp.

The Eagles were one of 2 teams that didn't have a mandatory mini camp. The Bengals were the other one.

What are they going to accomplish in 2 days of basic walk throughs at this point, that they can't work on in TC?
As he said, the rookies and others still were in meetings and such. Getting that mental part down in their reds and the playbook is far more important than a few walk throughs.

Doesn't mean I agree with it, as I don't, but I certainly understand it.
And not going to let it ruin my day.

umm its NOT... your reply

yes a bad look..drama queens up in here..

umm it does matter kicking, punting, and throwing all effected a lot by excessive winds.

we saw BB run like 40 run pays and 3 pass plays over high wind IN A REAL GAME..its a real thing maybe wake up and realize why if you cant have productive practice would you do it this early in the offseason..we still have more practices, a full training camp, and full slate of preseason games..

this isnt just wind this is record winds and causing poor air quality and visibility as reported by weather people there's a dust haze etc

overreact much??:huh::muttley::popcorn:
Funny, as I was typing that I figured you in particular would respond exactly that way, because you defend anything and everything this team does, results don't matter.

They are great. You're right. Take the rest of the week off. How dare me question such futility. Ever.

They've got it down. Better off at a party where they are praised as being superstars. That's worked out well.

not that it takes away from the 'soft' labeling, but the texas heat has been especially brutal this past week

Yeah and it is only mid June and been over 100º. Though only 94º now, feels like a cold front.
Supposed to be a high of 100º today.
July and August are long enough already, but if this keeps up it will seem like a very long 5 weeks until TC starts.

The Eagles not doing it should be even more reason for the Cowboys to do it.

People that work while others take days off give themselves an advantage.

You should always take opportunity's to get better. Especially when your competition slacks.

So mandatory practice every day of the year? :muttley:

Jerry needs GM practice.
