Perfect picture of those two slobs admiring a hot dog. Absolute joke, beverly hill billies running a billion dollar establishment.
They did build the billion dollar establishment. Let's not forget that

Jerry’s answer was NOT about what is more important to HIM
Im kind of stunned people are missing that

He was referring to world-wide perspective towards Dallas
The World Cup—by far the most watched event in world history—is 100 times bigger to the world than who wins the championship for 1 season of American football.

Im sure a Super Bowl would mean more to Jerry personally.
But not to the exposure of Dallas worldwide

I agree. I'm pretty sure he meant he'd rather host the WC over a SB.

Please know, fellow fans, this SB drought is killing me too. Deep down, I'd bet it's killing JJ even more

Winning the World Cup is definitely bigger than winning the SB imo because it only happens every 4 years and you have to go through a long qualification to even make it. Ask Italy how it feels since they didn’t qualify again for 2022. They have qualified in 8 years.

The question is pretty straightforward. It pits Jerry Jones owner of AT&T Stadium against Jerry Jones owner of the world's most valuable franchise that happens to play American football.

His answer is telling. The business man thinks getting the World Cup is bigger to HIM than winning the Super Bowl.

To me, the answer is simple. "No! Nothing is bigger than my Dallas Cowboys winning a SuperBowl. It means that much to me. Getting the World Cup at my stadium and for the city of Dallas is incredible. Absolutely incredible. But, I'm the owner of a NFL franchise, we are in the business of winning Super Bowls."

Yup, what else is he supposed to say?!

I'm really not sure about that . . . I'm still trying to figure out what he was trying to say! :muttley:  Isn't that all about marketing?

Methinks Jerry is simply another commercial in development. Broadening his business interests, is how his answer strikes me! o_O

Jerry is a man compelled to making the almighty dollar -- not that there's anything wrong with that . . . is that how folks get yachts?

“Nothing is more important to me than winning another Super Bowl. The fans deserve it! Soccer is a worldwide sport and I am just happy to be able to facilitate sharing that from AT&T stadium and give the fans of the beautiful game a venue to watch their country play in”

Jerry is a salesman. He could have easily said something like this and catered to everyone. Instead. He wants to stay relevant and here we are. Talking about it.

He didn't say "no".

Probably because the World Cup IS bigger than the Super Bowl. Trust me, this is going to be massive at ATT Stadium. As an example, I was in Cologne, Germany in 2014 when Germany won the World Cup that year. The entire Haufbrau was absolutely buzzing and there wasn't a seat to be had for those that didn't get there and hour before the match. The German flags were all over the bar, and the excitement was palpable. It was like being at a stadium. When Germany scored, it sounded like being at the stadium itself. When Germany won it, there was no sleeping that night as the horns were honking, and the party the Germans threw that night was amazing. Also, Go England for the World Cup, and Up the Cherries (AFC Bournemouth) on club level.

Arlington is about to learn what a party is, especially if it's a European country or a South American country. I hope the likes of England, Germany, and Italy get to play in the stadium. They can teach Jerry how passionate fans can get. It's truly a memorizing experience.

Globally?
Soccer is IT.
USA?
Football is it and it's a testament of the power of the US and it's fanhood to even make it a question.

But you go anywhere else on the planet and it's like...
Football what? Is it with all those overweight dudes acting like Sumo wrestlers while a guy throws a ball?

It does seem, however, that the football being played at the WC is becoming much more popular in the US than it was about 10 years ago.

I hope Italy plays in Toronto to be honest lol. But I will fly to where they are playing. Flights in North America are far easier than South Africa and Brazil for example lol

Cricket is a real thing globally.
I don't understand a single rule.
Shame on me.
It looks like baseball with weird bats and completely insane scoring rules.
And a single game can last for over a week.

I can help as one of my cousins in England plays it, and I've sometimes played it. It's a lot of fun actually. So, there's a big circle and the pitch is a rectangular ditch patch. On top of the three posts is a small but called the wicket. The goal of the fielding team is to either catch the ball (which is about as hard as a croquet ball and yes is harder than a baseball) or to knock the wicket off. Those two ways constitute an out. The person throwing the ball to the batsman is the bowler, and the overs (how many times the batting side get to go) depends on the type of match being played.

As for the batting side, you run with the bat and touch the side within the white line which scores a run. If you manage to get the ball over the big circle line with it rolling, it's an automatic 4 points. If you absolutely smash the ball and it goes over the big circle line without touching, it's 6 points. Those are the basics of cricket.
