NFL history has shown that's not necessarily true. Prescott's best season remains his first one. Russell Wilson had a great first season. Probably Robert Griffin's only good season was his first year. Baker Mayfield actually looked like the future for Cleveland. Mac Jones and Justin Herbert certainly haven't looked like they were better off sitting.

Now, no rookie quarterback has ever reached a Super Bowl, but that doesn't mean they and their teams weren't better for playing them right off the bat.
Your Dak and RG 3 reference prove my point . . I claim that Rookies starting and not sitting hinders developement and causes QBs to develop bad habits.

I believe Dak would be a better QB if He sat out His Rookie year

I believe all QBs should sit . . . just to get acclimated with the speed of the game.

I believe Dak not sitting has done more harm then good. . . Which is the reason I believe QBs drafted High don't pan out.

They get thrown to the wolves and then instinctively develop bad habits just to survive . . . Many times these bad habits stay with them their whole carears
QB's that get drafted high...usually go to a bad team. Or one that had a bad season anyway.

He might not be elite....but I'd argue legendary. Undrafted...small town kid. Becomes one of the best NFL QB's of his time. Among some historically great QB's.

That's pretty damn special.....if you ain't a hater.
He was never considered one of the best qbs lol. Only ppl here put him on the pedestal and he was average to above average a couple of his years at qb.

I still don't think Owens had much to do with it. Bill wanted to win ... badly, and when he didn't, it ate at him. At his age and health, he knew he needed to step away from coaching. Maybe TO added to that desire (although Parcells has given no indication that's the case), but Parcells gave the reason that he quit.
Fair enough.

It all starts with the Offensive and Defensive line!!! Remember?

AC, I play the line of being right in the middle. I don't hate Dak nor did I love Romo. Your hatred of Romo and Love of Dak blinds you to these kind of things.
Nope. I used to love Romo...until he went Hollywood and wasted his prime years. Showed me he wasn't mentally tough enough to focus and take this team far, which time ended up proving to be true. Dak is the opposite. He might not "wing it" the way Romo used to on the field, but Dak is physically talented enough to put up 400+ yards against you, but most importantly, Dak stays focused and mentally determined and dedicated to the game first and foremost. Hence why one of the first things Dak built was a top of the line football field in his backyard to practice on anytime he needs to.

I remeber I saved the article with Romo, Chad Hutchinson, Clint Storener, and Quincy Carter. They were all in their throwing motion and I told my friend that Tony Romo would be our Qb one day. This was in 2002 and I still remeber his first start vs the Panthers. My friend and I had a long convo. Not gonna lie I shed a tear when I saw him go down in the Seahawks preseason game.
Same here. I remember hearing that Romo kid was a "gunslinger" and RIGHT THEN i started telling my friends to watch for this guy Romo. I guess thats why i was such a HUGE fan of his: i saw it happen from the start.

You can believe that, but you can't prove it. I think it can hurt some player's progress, especially if they are not mentally strong, but then there are ones like Troy Aikman, who was absolutely abused his rookie season and is a Hall of Famer.

Yeah he had one of the greatest pre season performances I had ever witnessed, I though the same. I think that had a lot to do with Romo trying to play in a pre season game, not that he feared losing his job but because he was a true competitor.
