Of course you’re too busy trashing Dak all day. lol
And the Dakologists are just as bad as the Dak trashers.

This whole thread is stupid because speculation is just that.

What ifs are about as meaningless as you can get. Its like all those what if Jimmy had not left when he did. Worthless as tits on a bore hog.

These speculation threads are just a waste of time but it doesn’t stop many of us from taking part. Everyone always speculates the best possible outcomes. We would’ve never stopped winning Super Bowls had Jimmy never left and the Cowboys would’ve gone on to win the Super Bowl had Romo not gotten injured in 2016. Lol

Had Romo never gotten hurt in 2016, what would have the Cowboys done in 2016? A healthy Romo all season.

Romo had an MVP quality year in 2014 with a lesser RB and oline. Beasley was better, but Dez was worse.

The defense was better too. Pretty low standard. The defense was simply awful come the playoffs in 2014.

If Romo was healthy enough to play like 2014, he's got a better team under him for the playoffs. I would have put Tony back in.

Romo was my favorite quarterback of all time. If only he had decent Olines & coaches, he'd still be playing for Dallas today! Poor guy was so banged up. Garrett wasted him & a handful of other players.
His entire career wasted by Phillips and Garrett. I wish Parcells wouldve stayed, I think we win one championship in 2 more years if Bill stayed.

The 2016 team and 2014 teams were basically the same teams.

+1 ..I think the real question is how far the team would have gone if he returned as the starter. I have always said, a healthy Romo was better than Dak.
Dak played very well in the Green Bay playoff game. We lost because our defense fell flat. Again.

Honestly he didn’t have a lesser rb and lesser Oline that’s not true
Murray was a beast he put up franchise records with a broken hand for last few games
The line was at their best 2014-18
Dez had over 1000 yards receiving and had decent support crew in williams and Beasley

Witten was better in 14

the defense crapped the bed against Rodgers both years as the rookie was not the problem

actually 2014 was ONE OF our best OL ever and Muray had 1800 yards and 13 tds, how's that lessor? Best cowboy rb single season ever ? lmao its not..its about equal 14/16 rosters lost to the same team in similar way..close but no cigar Rogers ruined our year by winning late.. defense was the cause, had nothing to do with either qb..sorry those are facts,, rogers is still making NFCCGs GB and #12 just beat many teams not just us..

Murray's fumble was the backbreaker. Without the Peppers strip which negated a wide open for a TD romp, were win that game.

Zeke was a rookie and had 70 fewer carries on his body at the end of the season. So much more juice left. His season average was 5.1, Murray was 4.7.
Murray's December ypc was 3.98. Zeke was 5.47.

2016 - 3 All Pro olinemen.
2014 - 2

The defensive line in the 2014 playoff game was a sad and pathetic joke.

2 players never played another NFL snap.
4 more were out of the league by the end of the next season.
All these rejects accounted for 3/4 100% positions on the dline for that game.

Snaps in Game/Snaps Remaining in Career/Years Remaining in Career
31/0/0 Anthony Spencer
18/0/0 Josh Brent
22/35/1 Ken Bishop
37/370/1 George Selvie
46/380/1 Jeremy Mincey
50/580/1 Nick Hayden

46/lots Tyrone Crawford

Just lIke the 'Dak', 'Jerry' , 'McCarthy out/ Payton in as HC'
Other than threds about former Cowboys stars passing, or remeniscing about the past - much of what has been posted just is regurgitrated topics that bring out overused sarcasm and troll battles.
Will make an effort to check out until training camp.

No one knows what the Cowboys would have done with Romo at QB in 2016, regular season or playoffs.
What we do know is that Romo played on offenses with great receivers and a HOF TE and basically the same OL Dak had in 2016. Both played with poor defenses. There is absolutely nothing in Romo’s resume to indicate he would have produced a better regular season record or suddenly been successful in the playoffs.

Every other statement to the contrary is wishful thinking not based on past Romo and team performances.

If you want to argue the defense was the issue both years then fine

m only saying it was not either qb or the rb position or the offensive line which is the premise of this thread

what would a healthy Romo done with 2016. Not a damn thing more than the rookie. As Rodgers would have ***** slapped his team as well .

all the rest of the stuff is just babbling and has nothing to do with premise of thread
The team was 12-4 in 14 and was 13-3 with home field advantage in 16. Both times the pack walked in and said I own you how dare you leave time on clock
in 18 defense was also the issue as the rams literally ran it down their throat

Romo was a good not great QB who will forever be over rated by his homies. It is totally idiotic to assume the a QB who did little as the starting QB for years and years and years would suddenly have done a lot in the one year he missed playing time

Totally idiotic
