If all those women settle like this, then it was a money grab and Watson should not be suspended for any games.

No criminal cases with the grand jury not indicting on any of the +20 claims, and 20 civil cases settled out of court is a joke. I would sue the NFL if it suspended me. Robert Kraft had his massages and nothing was done to suspend him.
Kraft is one of those responsible for suspending people.

I don't know if the grand jury examined all 20+ claims.
And you could sue, but you likely wouldn't win. The league - including players and owners - gave these powers to Goodell.
You're right. He should sue the NFL.
I'm sure that will work out.
Don't have to win in a civil suit. You can make them settle just like these women. All you need is preponderance of the evidence at 51% (which is why Watson settled). And based on the following, I think these massages were the kind you get in the french quarter in New Orleans...
"A $5,000 Payment
In June 2020, Watson began frequenting a spa in a strip mall off Interstate 45, at least a 30-minute drive from his home or work. He had found A New U Spa on Instagram and sent a message. The owner, Dionne Louis, became a resource for Watson, able to connect him with multiple women for massages.

She looked out for him, she said in a deposition, sometimes arranging for a security guard when Watson came in, concerned the expensive cars he drove might make him a target for a robbery. She also got things from him. In November 2020, Watson paid her $5,000 through an app, she said, to buy spa equipment. Louis told one of her employees in a text, “I told you I’ll show you how to get money from men that’s my specialty.”"

Its hard to tell. Cant fault a guy for asking for one. I think some of them claimed he made them? Which is laughable. So some of them said he just did it himself in front of them?
Uhhh yeah on the selfie thing...that came out in some of the original filings. And I think I’m gonna pull out of this conversation here...way too many possibilities to slip up. Ha!

So is this suspension going to pay for all? Because it's far from over.

The fact this guy has not been put on the Commissioner's suspended list already months ago is freaking unbelievable. He should be suspended at the minimum of one year without pay. The Browns knew they were getting damaged goods anyway, so no pity on them.

I believe the suspension will be ongoing and open to whatever # of games named. Unless all cases are settled, he still faces civil lawsuits. For all the talk about wanting his day in court to clear his name, looks like they’ve done all they can to make it go away, but it also looks like there will be a trial. Even a civil trial can result in jail time as we saw with OJ who was found not guilty in criminal court. I don’t expect Watson to play at all this year because of the ongoing cases. Clearly, Watson and the Browns never expected him to play this year either. That’s why, despite his record contract, he’s scheduled to make peanuts this year so that the suspensions costs him very little. The whole thing is so shady. I hope it all blows up on the Browns….they deserve it.

Oj didn't do time cause of the civil cases its cause he robbed some dudes in Vegas.

Mr box score. Cousins is more accurate than Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers based on box scores in recent years yet who would I prefer to throw into a tight window...gee let me think about that one:facepalm:
Cousins isn’t a deep ball passer while Rodgers and Brady are so that’s a huge part of it
But accuracy is what we are talking about and stafford has never been or will be as accurate as Dak
Some fans just can’t accept that Dak is not the bum they’d like him to be
He’s by any measurement a top 10 QB and having a top 10 QB is very hard to get. Teams take decades trying

How do you know Dionne Louis is telling the truth and isn't looking to exploit Watson either? Why is she risking her business and reputation helping Watson when rating on her employees, essentially, negative impacts her staff and her enterprise - if you can call it that?
Bias is throughout this case. Men who are inclined to believe women are out to take their money, side with Watson.
Men who have had good women in their lives who have told them of being constantly harassed or assaulted by men, side with the women.

The logical questions I ask are these:

1. According to the rules of evidence, how can 24 women ALL be lying?
2. Why do you settle with them if you're innocent of their claims and you know that "settlement" equates to "guilty" in many people's eyes?
3. If "shake downs" like this are so common, why don't we hear of this with more players? It's always interesting to me that when situations like this happen where multiple women make such claims, the disbelieving usually respond that the women are trying to get money from rich men - like this scams are routine. Well, why don't we hear more about these schemes. The truth is that it is rare when you get multiple women - such as is in this case and Bill Cosby's case - testify against the same man.

Yes, women can be crafty and lie. But 27? On the same man? In the same scheme?

Well if it was an organized and planned conspiracy maybe. Kind of doubt that.
Yeah, while some of the women at least are in it for money to claim ALL OF THEM ARE ONLY IN IT FOR MONEY AND WATSON IS THE REAL VICTIM?
Sure.
But there are some here dumb enough to buy that.

I thinks it's bs if he serves a suspension with no charges, I felt that way about Zeke too. So all someone has to do is accuse you and you can get suspended because it may make the league look bad? Lol ridiculous,If these women all accepted a payout instead of taking him to court, either they're liars or sellouts. If he really did what they say, then they potentially put other women at risk because you refuse to take him to court, you're a POS and a sellout if you do that.

It only one of the women was being truthful, that is enough to get Watson in trouble. It also only takes one woman to be completely fabricating her story to create problems for the other accusers or if believed trouble for Watson. There is really no way for anyone to know what has really transpired. We may lean one way or the other, but it is impossible to state with certainty we know who is being truthful.

It will be interesting to see what the 4 remaining women do now. Do they continue their civil suits? Do they settle at a later point? Also, does anyone else come forward with new accusations?

The issue I'm raising is absent video or audio evidence, no one really knows who's telling the truth. It's the classic he-said-she-said case.

However, with multiple women, the likelihood the abuse occurred is greater because in a court of law, multiple witnesses becomes a major factor of evidence. More people testifying about an event gives the testimony more credibility than one person testifying of an event.

Be that as it may, as for "enough to get Watson in trouble," I don't know if the league sees sexual misconduct the same as domestic abuse. I mean is one woman accusing you of showing her your manhood unwantedly worthy of a suspension? I don't know.

Zeke got in trouble because his ex-girlfriend claimed physical violence by Zeke (not that I believed her given the testimony presented in his case), and after the Ray Rice incident, the league was cracking down on domestic violence. I'm not saying sexual misconduct isn't bad. I just don't know how the league would look upon that if an accusation with no evidence came from one woman.
