There was immense pressure on Switzer who was taking over Jimmy Johnson before the 1994 season. Switzer really was in a no-win situation w/the job. If he lost, he was bashed, but if he won, all the credit still would go to Johnson.
Garrett number 3 is one of the dumbest takes I have ever read. I mean beyond stupid. 10 years. 2 playoff wins. Stars across the roster. That moron did nothing. How bad was he? Well at a prime coaching age the guy is calling USFL games.
Be nice. Everyone has their own opinion. And I do agree w/yours. 8-8 Garrett should have been let go in his 5th season. The bromance lasted way too long!

Are the QB rankings based on stats alone? That has to be the case for him to even be considered for a list like this. He doesn't deserve to be on on it otherwise, and neither does Romo.

And yes, like what was said above, ranking Garrett that high is a massive insult. Switzer sucked, but he had far more playoff wins and a super bowl championship.

That is quite a post ..... sensory overload. Commend the dedication to post all that though.

I like it.

Wish LB Eugene Lockhart was included with your inside LBs top 5.

zfocbdl2eiljcqgkbyvn.jpg

Lockhart led the Cowboys in tackles four times, including an NFL-best and team-record 222 in 1989.

Name: Eugene Lockhart
Position: Linebacker
College: Houston
Height/Weight: 6-2/235
Cowboys Tenure: 1984-90

Why Him?

Lockhart played during the 1980s swoon between the franchise's two dynasties but was a bright spot on a declining team, making two All-Pro teams (1989, 1990) and leading the Cowboys in tackles in four of his seven seasons. In 1989, he became the first Cowboys defender to record 200 tackles in a season with an NFL-leading 222 (Bradie James became the second in team history with 202 in 2008). A fierce hitter, Lockhart topped 100 tackles in every season he was in Dallas except 1987, when he missed the only games of his tenure (three) due to a broken leg. By 1991, new head coach Jimmy Johnson decided he wanted more speed than the 30-year-old Lockhart could provide, and he was traded to the Patriots, where he started 25 games over his final two NFL seasons.

And when did hershel lead the NFL in rushing..." twice" ?

IF you followed Walkers career, his first 4 or 5 years were in the USFL. He got to Dallas around his 5th or 6th year and was incredible. Walker did more then just run the ball, he caught it out of the backfield. Had really no one else on the team and everyone knew Walker was getting the ball.

When it comes to pure talent, Herschel Walker is one of the best RB's of all time.

Now if your talking Cowboys career ONLY that is a different conversation.

I like Zeke, but I agree.....Imagine what Walker could have done with Larry Allen, Eric William's etc.....he was one of the best backs of all time.....just never had the right situation

I just looked it up and he actually was in the USFL for 6 years before he came over here. LOL

That is ridiculous. Walker put up over 2000 yards from scrimmage one year for us.

A cowboys career is not predicated on what Hershel did in an inferior football league,.. it's predicated on what he did in the NFL, vs NFL All pro, pro bowlers and hall of famers.

And did i not include "Cowboys "All time list ? ... not the USFL's all time list . ?
