That's great to hear.
We need this guy to build upon his body of work and come in even better.
It's not a luxury, it's a necessity.

Thank you bro.

It's the only time some people have ever been called smart...

- We really did not have a backup for him last year.
What if there were a serious injury to Biadasz ?

- Williams had been tried at center with OL coach Philibin, and that collapsed.
Philibin was reluctant to try McGovern at center, until it was more forced.
Matt Farniok was a rookie who barely even played center at Nebraska.

- And i'm not sure we have serious competition vs Biadasz right now.
We've brought in two undrafted rookies in Lindstrom, Emery,.. but there must be a reason why they went undrafted.

- But he may be a center comparable to Eagles Pro Bowl center Jason Kelcie, a finesse type that relies more heavily
on keen positioning, off ball quickness, and ability to get to 2nd level, a giant knack and high IQ for the position.

- Biadasz may not be a big strength guy .But it's important that he has play strength. Functional strength.
Some guys can bench press the world, but cannot translate it to the playing field.

- You have to have a center than can more than hold his own vs 3-4 NT, and you want him reacting and adjusting well
and quickly to stunt games up front.

- Hopefully he's improved those wild, high shotgun snaps, .and he's not falling off blocks in run game, and he's not
getting out of position on single block pass rushes.

I saw where Lindstrom was considered as high as a 3rd round pick by many of the scouts, although, he wasn't generally thought of as a highly athletic type of OL. He was well respected as a very sound pass protector, which was something that Biadasz lacked last year. I think he might well be the most capable competition for Biadasz this year. How well he manages to run block may be something that remains to be seen. I think his level of strength is at least adequate and likely better than what Biadasz displayed in 2021. He's considered a hard worker and should seriously challenge as either a backup at C or even as a possible starter.

How Biadasz fares in pass protection this year remains to be seen. If he has improved his strength enough to provide better pass protection would likely be the main thing that he'll be obliged to prove. He wasn't physically ready last year to be the best version of himself. Let's hope his physical muscular improvement and strength that has been noticed recently is for real. He'll be tested thoroughly in TC for sure.

McGovern has impressed the Cowboys staff thus far in practice and might earn more reps than what he was given last year. His participation in weight training during the offseason was lauded as being highly satisfactory in his added strength and muscular development. It should be quite interesting to see what he's able to do in TC. He'll likely be given added live action reps over what he saw last year.

If none of these contenders as starters pass the test, let's see if a worthwhile veteran might come forward, once the final cuts occur.

I live in Wisconsin. He and New Orleans Saints tackle Ryan Ramzek put on a kids camp up here today. Biadasz was in T-shirt and shorts. Looked a little bigger up top to me but a whole lot more in shape. Didnt see much gut on him at all for a big guy.

Good Intel. I think he looked really slow last year. Hopefully he comes in and fulfills his promise.

LOL.........and no he doesnt have any stiff competition. Unless you call 2 undrafted FA's and a 7th round pick stiff.

Best thing is how hard you have tried to discredit this kid and get the board to turn against him. Seeing as though you were a 8% body fat highschool center and all. :muttley:
We have to believe in what Biadasz did this offseason, he has to show obvious growth as a player this season or we are in for more of the same up the gut pressure issues and entire fan base complaining over Dak being the entire issue or not.
I pray that this team has done enough with Farniok, Lindstrom and Empey as a push, but my logical side says it will not be enough.

True! But if it DID happen, the Cowboys would be the first!

Until something more convincing than being subject to suspension on the basis of how one looks, I'd take it with a grain of salt.

Until something convincing is exposed, I'd consider it a joke. The evidence to suspend one isn't determined by his appearance.

It's done by the appropriate testing that offers proof of guilt for using a banned substance. It's the properly approved procedure.

Williams was a big part of the middle push problems. But the two of them together was not good. Biadasz, however is young and that was his first year as the man in the middle.

He has to 100% show improvement or its another hole. Personally I see Center as the #2 most important position on the line and the most important in regards to the run game. You cant have a JAG at center.
