Lets be blunt: if his name was Archie Smith he would not be this highly ranked. I have looked at film on him and I have seen better not only this year but in past years.

Gotta give kudos to Texas for landing him; it certainly should help them land other big names. Of course you are still stuck with below par coaching.

Name has something to do with it but when you got Alabama, Georgia and Clemson knocking on your door along with Texas I think they see the talent there as well.

Coaches get stars in their eyes as well; and consider this:
How much does landing Manning help texas get other big commits? I believe that was part of the reasoning those OTHER teams were after him.

Rich Eisen reacts to Arch Manning, nephew of Peyton and Eli, committing to Texas and say what landing the highly-touted QB means for the future of the Longhorns’ program.

In the Rich Eisen video, it's frustrating to see Eisen's assistant not know how to count properly. He said Arch Manning's freshman year in college would be the 2024 season. Uhhh, hello? We're in the year 2022. Arch Manning will be a senior in high school 2022-2023. He graduates in the Spring of 2023. That means Arch Manning's college freshman year will be the Fall of 2023, NOT 2024!!!

I'm sorry you may think highly of Manning, teams do. Alabama, Georgia and Clemson do think highly of him and his talent. Now am I to believe your view trumps theirs?
