Cool story, Jerry. You ready to sell the team yet? Surely there is someone out there willing to buy for almost double what we're worth.

Nobody in their right mind would argue that Jerry wasn't a savvy investor or businessman. The problem is that his judgement doesn't translate to football.
Well you can't buy Tom Brady and just push a Jamies Winston to the side, you have to draft Tom Br.........wait.....oh dam.

His parent's were incredibly wealthy. 6 million in 1965 was an enormous amount of money. If you invested that into an S&P index fund then it would be worth about 1.5 billion now.

I have zero trouble recognizing that Jones is an incredible business man. He's turned a fortune in several fortunes. But, he didn't come from humble roots.

Dallas Cowboys owner, Jerry Jones placed a big bet on natural gas producer Comstock Resources. And now, his stake is worth more than twice what he paid. His stake, worth about $2.6 billion after investing roughly $1.1 billion. Nice to have that type of money to throw around in investment. But also, a time where energy plays have been getting a ton of eyeballs, a ton of investment, especially for those who are looking at the sector, and have seen it run up over these past several months and year.

- I mean, natural gas is really tricky. It's had a lot of crashes, as well. And a lot of people whose fortunes have been wiped out.

Jones has been luckier, or smarter than most, 'cause this is not the first time he's made this kind of investment, and actually done well with it. So it's interesting that he's now repeating it with Comstock. And I guess he's in good company when it comes to these energy investments right now.

If Jerry wanted to bypass Bill Gates, he would pass by foreign owned, Chenierre in export of liquified natural gas... and also invest in blue and green hydrogen production, while it is still open fully.

Not impressed....fairly easy to make a ton of money when you have a ton of money
Nothing to see here...move along

….plus anyone with that type of money has a consortium of financial advisors. Just have to have the right people in place to make money. Outside of football Jerry has done just that……except for the Jimmy Johnson hiring

Who cares. He can be the richest man in the world and I still won't care.

I care about the team. I wish he would take some of that money and invest it back into the team. Better coaches, better trainers, better players, etc. In my opinion he is a terrible GM. Wish he would just go away...and take his Capboy son with him.

If Jerry wished to enter Bill Gates arena, he could invest in blue/green hydrogen production and export of liquid hydrogen. It is still wide open for the next five years...
