Report: NFL seeks indefinite suspension of Deshaun Watson, lasting at least one year
Posted by Mike Florio on June 25, 2022, 6:39 PM EDT

Multiple reports have pegged the commencement of the hearing before Judge Sue L. Robinson for Tuesday, June 28. It’s unclear how long the process will take. An effort by the NFLPA to defend Watson based on the actions, and consequences, of owners like Daniel Snyder, Robert Kraft, and Jerry Jones will necessarily delay the process. Nevertheless, Watson has an absolute right to argue that his punishment should be commensurate with other cases.

If Watson expects to get lenient treatment like Snyder, Jones, and Kraft, he's sadly mistaken. He should already he'll be judged and punished differently than those guys for obvious reasons.

Yah, I just dont believe all that. Putting your hand a massage girls butt? NO big deal. IF she takes it off you know. And I think many of them were from massage places that do these kinds of things. NO way your just calling up some random massage person over to your house and just start trying to get sex from them. Heck you can go to asian massage places and get that all day.
Wow just wow... smfh. You're a real piece of work.

Watson shouldn’t play in the NFL again. More talented people have been cancelled for less. What Watson did is on par with what Trevor Bauer did and Bauer will not play in the majors again.

thats because we want to see football.... we are far more partial to the side of the owners, because stuff that is good for the owners is also good for us fans. Stuff that is good for players is not good for us fans.

So you think players making huge salaries are good for us fans?
You think players able to leave teams is good for us fans?

What a load of crap ....... the owners created the salary cap in the early nineties so they could make maximum profits ........ and the game has been getting worse and worse since then. So no ........ whats good for the owners is not whats good for us fans ....... 80's and 90's NFL was peak and the owners destroyed that willingly for profit.

Curious what MLB does with Bauer.
Has his appeal been ruled on yet ?

bahahahhaah.... 80s and 90s football.... back when there was NO SALARY CAP and owners already had MAXIMUM profits. Also no free agency and you just said that was when football was best for fans. Thanks for making my point for me.. Once players got free agency, that meant salaries were going to go through the roof. The Cap ensures salaries stay to a certain level and owners get a certain %. If there was no cap, salaries would no question be probably close to double what they are now....... what do you think that would do to the cost of attending a game or getting the NFL Sunday Ticket?

S
The owners and Watson should get a year suspension. Stephen needs to be included in the suspension with his father. That freaking stuff with the cheerleaders needs to be investigated outside the organization.:omg::laugh::muttley:
Suspending an owner means nothing
Fine him because the players lose their income

For anyone connected to the NFL come out and say they are backing this abuser
let him ride shotgun with josh brent after a night of heavy clubbing while kelvin joseph and his crew ride in the back seat shooting at people who kicked their butt after the clubs shut down.
For anyone connected with the NFL to come out and say they back this abuser they too should be banned from the NFL for LIFE. 20 plus women have come forward and said this perverted SOB did stuff to them that if you or I were accused of these horrible acts we would be in jail waiting for a date with the firing squad!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Watson should be banned for life and the idiots who thought it was a good idea to sign him to the Browns should be bounced out of the league!!!!!!!

While true but not coz the actions are any less evil but camouflaged by layers of subordinate employees and lawyers
I think they have everything to do with PR. Every fans of a given team knows they are the owner and to let them walk with no punishment for behavior players are suspended without pay for sends a message that they are above the rules of the game

Have to laugh here, there are plenty of reputable massage parlors, professional therapists that dont need the constant assumptions.
I go every couple months to an asian massage house.
Totally respectable, and best massage therapy ever, and always strictly professional.
Has helped my pain tolerance therapy tremendously with lower back issues.
Just can't stereotype all industries is all im trying to say.

Criminal prosecutions have nothing to do w/ suspensions over the image this employer is trying to keep from getting too dirty. Think about it, Hawks, you do not have to break the law to get fired from your job. The criminality of the act is irrelevant as far as his punishment by the NFL.
In the nfl that is true
They make the rules
The one difference is if anyone is suspended or fired from a normal job they can just go to work for another company doing the same job. The nfl they can’t
No doubt the league can suspend him as long as they want though, he won’t get paid and he can’t play football for money anywhere else either because it doesn’t void his contract. That’s one issue I think a player could challenge in court

Yeah I go to masseuses all the time. I always try to be respectful and kind. I don't treat them the way Brett Favre, Deshaun Watson and Bob Kraft do.
