Thanks for making my point for me.. Once players got free agency, that meant salaries were going to go through the roof. The Cap ensures salaries stay to a certain level and owners get a certain %. If there was no cap, salaries would no question be probably close to double what they are now....... what do you think that would do to the cost of attending a game or getting the NFL Sunday Ticket?

That entire thing would have gone largely unnoticed had the league not brought it to everyone's attention. The league acted out of fear. Fear another Ray Rice type video might come out.
