Nice article. Eatman is spot on pertaining to Ellis!

"Coach Ellis will utilize the coaching styles of three of his former coaches Mack Brown, Mike Zimmer, and Bill Parcells. This combination of coaching styles and his dedication to putting God first will help to curate not only a successful football team but further develop SAGU student-athletes walk with God."
-Nick Eatman
Yep, the babysitter. That's him.
Mike Irvins coke habit cost us Randy Moss.
He is lucky I love him.
Moss had "character issues" which prevented him from being the best WR in the NFL at that time. Irvin took that spot.

Emmitt came to help Irvin. At the time Emmitt was "saved", became a born again Christian. Irvin, by the grace of God, was "saved" as well. Both are Christians today. Stop dwelling on the past. People move on!

One of the truly big big mistakes that Jerry has made. I’m sure it killed him at the time to have passed on Moss for a DE out of NC.
Jerry's attempt to replace Charles Haley was some classic stuff....

Carver, Pittman, Ekuban, then hey, why not? Greg Ellis. All first round picks.

Quadruple down on dumb.

Ellis will never get over the specter of Randy Moss, but that's not his fault. Nothing he can do about it.

Dude was a damn good player for 11 years in Dallas and was a consummate pro. He deserves more respect.

Glad for him, he was always a good player and great guy. Hope he gets to at least coach at UNC someday.

Big character guy. When Parcells switched to the 3-4 Ellis didn't like it, but he played his very best.

Ellis even made the Pro Bowl at age 32 after being an OLB for only two seasons. He had 12.5 sacks and 3 forced fumbles that season.

The only pro bowl of his career. He will forever be known among cowboy fans as the guy who should have been Randy Moss.
