Not in a million years. This front office has already squandered enough 1st round picks. Would I love to have him over McCarthy? For sure but not at the expense of fielding a decent team.

Forget the trade compensation. Just about every people in their right mind outside of this board has Payton as a significantly better coach. To suggest otherwise is flat out wrong.

None. Until Jerry Jones establishes a culture of football first and celebrity status second then it doesn't matter what coach we have. The only hope we have if there is no culture change, is we draft some alpha dogs, ala Parsons, that can overcome the culture. So I'd rather keep as many draft picks as possible because that increases the chances of drafting Alphas that can overcome the culture. JMO

Sean Payton seems to be the only viable option as a coach who can have some meaningful leverage with Jerry to pick players and cut players . Don’t see any other coaches with his resume who Jerry can hire and bring here .
If that happens , 2 first rounders are well worth the investment.
It all starts with a strong coach with authority to get players to perform . Otherwise the country club atmosphere will continue , nachos with Jerry and Stephen , wild picks and moves by Jerry , player indiscipline, no more wet nurse treatment for Dak , Dak will have someone who will tell him perform or be gone !!
