26 years of failure has beaten the optimism out of me.
As long as Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb are running this team I suggest you learn this famous quote from The Divine Comedy. "ABANDON ALL HOPE YE WHO ENTER HERE."

oh we know ;)

We, the fans, will continue to drink the "we are going to have a successful year" Kool Aid and spend more of our hard earned money on Cowboys tickets and merchandise. The Boys will continue to be the #1 grossing Sports franchise. Woohoo Jerry, success!!

Depends on what your expectations were, lol. One and out just overshadows anything during the reg season. I mean that's how an NFL season works. It's not a classic league system like in soccer. Since you get a tournament in the end, which basically resets everything back to zero nobody gives a rats *** about whatever you did before. So yes, they sucked. ... lol.
...Well that's a reasonable interpretation...Still IMO...they did not suck! ...That word is very subjective...But I would say that they failed to meet expectations in the playoffs!

Finish it

1. Micah Parsons takes the next step and is even better this year

2. Dak Prescott/CD Lamb explode as one of the best Qb/Wt duos
We need playmakers. We have next to nothing on offense after CD. We have 2-3 on defense right now with a huge maybe from Sam Williams. If this rookie could make plays the defense could take a huge step in the right direction. I think Dak and this offense struggle this season and I think it's Sean Paytons team in 2023.

I think the Cowboys will have a good season if Defense can take the next step forward and there is little drop off by the offense. For years Dallas has had either offense or defense who have carried the team if they can put a team out there were both sides of the ball is being effective they will have a chance for a trip to the SB. What I hope to see from defense is showing they can stand up to physical offensive attacks and shut down running games

Exactly , preach brother !
Unfortunately they didnt upgrade this position much .
We keep waiting until the mid/late rounds because "there's players we just can't pass up." Every year, we're dependent on mid/late rounders, cheap/problem FA's, and old dudes at DT. Meanwhile, Rams are riding DJ Reader to a super bowl win. But noooooooo, we just had to sign Poe, McCoy, Haha, Canady, and a host of others who didn't help.

1. The defense will continue to improve under Quinn in its/his second year.
2. The offensive line will be healthier and improved.
3. Dak's slump was a result of an injured calf that is now fully healed.
4. Zeke is fully healed and ready to resume the rushing load.
5. Gallup doesn't experience another injury and one of our receivers not named Lamb steps up to fill the Cedric Wilson role.
6. Kellmo starts calling plays that aren't predictable.
7. Mike McCarthy actually starts contributing to the team as a coach and takes over offensive playcalling if Kellen Moore (Kellmo) gets into a slump.

Good stuff.

Please define successful ??

Win the division and make the playoffs 2 years in a row.
Make it to the NFCCG. Of course the correct answer is win the SB. But I think most will take the NFCCG as a positive. (or settlement for now)

You should have stopped on the first sentence .

And I’m not sure that would be considered a success.

I think most would say at least winning a playoff game and possibly NFCCG appearance.

That was why I added the 2nd part. As most would want more. And I don't blame them.
Another 1 and done is failure.

Why would I celebrate getting beat in the wild card round? :lmao::lmao2:

You remain a desperate troll.

Feel free to pull up that post or any post where I was celebrating.

Another failing comment by a sad fan that has no clue about the team he claims to root for.
Unlike you, I have a realistic take on the players and the teams capabilities. This team was never going to the SB. Here's a hint.............they aren't doing it this year either.

Now he's pretending he didn't consider getting bounced out of the wild card round a successful season.

Just weak and pathetic.

Many think we're just one or two fixes away. But you don't go 26 years without an NFC Championship appearance and just need one or two fixes.
That type of longevity futility is a product of systemic dysfunction that can't be solved with a fix here and there.
Then again, maybe we'll get struck by lightning. Shrug.
