Is The Flash the perfect opponent for either hurting or killing Darkseid?

Scenario: Darkseid pinpoints Barry Allen. He shoots his Omega Beam at him. The Flash reacts and starts zig zagging all around but the Omega Beam keeps pace right behind him.

Barry makes a sharp turn and runs straight at Darkseid. He smiles, probably says, "You're dead.".

The speedster vibrates his body's molecules straight through Darkseid. He cannot react fast enough and gets hit with his own Omega Beam.


What do y'all think?

Yep. I think his vision is IN his Omega Beam. Like eyesight outside his eyes.

They can hurt him. I may dig up a couple of examples.

I am so over superhero movies.
I know it's not popular, but I've turned down work because of that and probably lost out on some bucks, but I don't care.
It's boring to me now.
Even the "edgy" stuff like The Boys and whatnot.
Bored.

I've been wanting to write a bit more... organic.
Still Thriller/Comedy, like I've been doing, but keeping things real because the super stuff is just Ugh to me.
In the end they're cheat codes. Not just their powers, but in story-telling also.

Like I said, just me.
I'd rather write an underdog tale of a major heist than a galaxy-threatening superhero tale right now.

But I am a man that is fickle and prone to change his mind.

You could always write your own superhero, and make the story whatever you want. Have a supe who's weaker than all the other supes, but learns to use what powers he/she has in unexpected ways.

Or not.

i really enjoyed the lone ranger comics from dynamite.

i'd love to see an animated lone ranger movie based on their story lines.

i'd like to see a jonah hex animated movie this time around.
wish dc would put out a animated dvd like they do for batman...the jl...superman...etc.

I'm sort of bored with them now too. There are only a few I'll go to see in the theater now and I haven't bothered with several of the most recent. I will always go to see Spider-man though.

Maybe it's just a matter of finding a different take on the subject. Dark comedies like "Birdman" or "Defendor", not really superheros, but their mental state having them think they are. Maybe setting a superhero movie in a different time period(feudal Japan, dark ages, "The Eternals" touched on that briefly.....what if someone(s) were actually mutants and those abilities eventually raised them to a myth-like, god status (eg. Norse Gods) or from folklore or history. A mixed genre could be cool if done right, superhero movie done in the wild west or ancient Egypt.

Daredevil, probably the best done of all the superhero series, is about a street level hero, doesn't have over the top powers, but especially the first season, at it's core was more of a crime drama/action than straight superhero story.

I watched a movie a couple days ago called "Crimson Peak" by Guillermo Del Toro, expecting a ghost story, but turned out to be more of a thriller than a horror movie. It's set during the Victorian age and the protagonist is an aspiring author writing a ghost story, but as she puts it, "it's not a ghost story, it just has ghosts in it" which pretty much described the movie itself. The movie was alright, good cast, great set and costumes, the ghosts were sufficiently creepy. You can write your comedy/thriller/mystery story, it just happens to have a "superhero" in it. Just find your own take on the subject

If we’re being honest here, no matter what side of the comic book fandom you’re on, DC Comics or Marvel, it’s fair to say that we’re not going to get EVERY character coming to the big screen that we want. Is there a chance? Sure. But is it fully likely? Not really. A great example of a “never say never” moment came from Natalie Portman, who is about to make her MCU return in Thor Love and Thunder as not only Jane Foster, but as The Mighty Thor.

By her own admission, she didn’t think this would happen after how things ended with Thor The Dark World:

“It definitely is amazing to have these, Jane as Mighty Thor comic books that Taika gave to me the first time we met as this kind of kernel of an idea for what this could be,” Portman noted in an interview.

i'm really trying to warm up and keep an open mind about a Jane Foster Thor in Love and Thunder upcoming film, ... " worthy" of handling and possessing " Mjöllnir' Uru Hammer.
We'll see how this works out ...
