You knew this was coming with Watson's deal and the league is where they never wanted to be, guaranteed contracts. When MIN gave Cousins that deal, every agent partied hard that night.

Jackson was right to hold off and wait, he might get closer to 50M a year guaranteed.

Man i wish we had Dak locked up for even more years -- his contract is looking sweeter every day --- but then it ends and what price then?

Fans want more than just being good. The owners have to think beyond just championships. It's worth it to the owners if their team is exciting and not cellar dwellers year after year. They'll pay for that even if they know the likelihood of winning a championship is slim.

Ha! What a terrible idea! Good for him and them. But frankly, he’s not that good and they can’t win a championship with the shrimp. Just like I hope Philly marries Hurtz for 100m per year bc he will never sniff a championship, he’s just not good

Technically with no legs, he can’t squat, so you’re right. But even with his legs he can’t see over the O line, which limits the areas he can throw to. He can run because he has to, but no thanks on that deal.

The other NFC West teams must be partying right now

Murray's 5th year option is 30 million. Holy crap. It's to the point teams are better off not picking up the 5th year option, then giving the QB a huge extension.

Dak’s contract keeps looking better and better. And assuming good health, Kyler Murray’s contract will probably look good too in several years, Just how it goes. The rich get richer.

This is true as far as it concerns Jerry and his wallet, but not as far as the team is concerned. The more money they push forward, the worse his contract looks every year as far as the cap hit is concerned. How his contract affects the team and cap is all that matters.
