We don't know if Watson will miss the season, but would suspect he misses atleast 6 games. NFL has to be consistent with the Elliott precedent no matter how many women make claims against Watson.

I think he played with a bad shoulder much of last season that dramatically effected his play. Underwent off season surgery and is back throwing the ball

Say what you want about Baker Mayfield, he's had the longest starting tenure for the Brown's since Kosar in the 80's. And that was before they sold the team. They're completely inept at franchise QBs.

we dunno if Watson is gonna be suspended for an entire season, some indications have been reported that the NFL could settle for a 6-8 game suspension.
Half the season, at the least.

But it's the bigger picture the Browns may be looking at after dishing out a quasa- contract, guarantee, and multiple high draft pick investment in Watson.
It's not about just season, but future seasons to come.

Would acquiring Watson and his talents for years to come be worth the sacrifice of one season ?

i think Baker gets eventually traded.. and i think his future will amount to failure.
Dude is not the most mature player around, and maybe he is not the most coachable player around either.

In the Adrian Peterson situation, they allowed him to accredit time served from the previous season while he was on the commissioner’s list. Watson’s team could try and make the same argument, especially since he gets paid whether he’s suspended or not.

Jacoby Brissett looks like he will be Watson’s replacement. However, Mayfield did leave the door open by saying if the Browns were to reach out to him something could happen but he went on to say it looks like both he and the Browns want to move on.
