Context is extremely important. I don't like our NFC East record...which some people actually BRAG about.....once a lethal feared division but it's been pretty weak in recent years.

We "own" the division but only won one playoff game in six years? The whole division sucks!

He isn't an Imposter QB would be more on target........
A lucky guy(666) who had 2 QB fall down for him to start and had around him primo talent from Dez to rook Zeke and offline from heaven.
In the end, what did he do with all that talent.........1 playoff win!

New England was average. Nothing special about that defense at all.

Same here.

I'm also not a Dak homer. I was Super down on him after the playoff loss. In some ways, I still kind of am. But when I talk, I like to know what I'm talking about. So I realize people will argue whether he's a top 10 quarterback, and that's all fine and dandy.

But anyone arguing within the parameters of realistic premises should come to the conclusion that he is.

If they argue he is not, I deduce they are simply trolling. Or their opinion is skewed by some other aspect outside of facts.

The real question is, can Dak win the biggest games that matter?

That depends on 52 other players.

It was the same issue with Romo. Both Dak and Romo were top 5-7 QBs in the league during their times. They have just never been able to bring home the trophy.

I think that's right.

If you look at the San Fran game. It was the offensive and defensive lines.

In the cap era, we've built teams that can win in the division. But our overall team strength has never held up in the playoffs.

I think this comes down to two things: physicality and mentality.

Since the 90s, we never had the best QB or the most talented team. We had the most physical team with the toughest mentality.

I watched the New Orleans game and their passing game was atrocious. New England’s defense finished number two overall last season.

Some of the QBs you’ve mentioned to replace him are average QBs at best. Some would be ranked 20 or higher.

I feel like that's a cop out. You're either getting me confused with someone else or you're making this up.

I consistently have Dak ranked around 12-13 whenever I rank QBs.

There are young guys I have ranked behind him that are not currently better than him that I would take over him on potential alone though as I feel in a year or so they will easily be better than him.

I believe the team saw Romo and Dak in practice and determined Dak was the better fit.

I don't believe 12-13 are that great of QBs. They're just kinda okay.

There's not a lot of truly great QBs in the NFL (Allen, Burrow, Stafford, Herbert) and even less actual elite QBs (Rodgers, Brady, and Mahomes is it for me)

Once you get past the top 7 or 8 QBs then you're replaceable to me.
