How good could Jimmy Smith have been for the 1993-2000 team?

The Cowboys treated Jimmy Smith like trash, including not taking him seriously during a medical ailment that came close to killing him, and penny-pinching him even after that episode. JSmith then went on to become the Jacksonville Jaguars' best-ever wide receiver.

With JSmith, Harper and Irvin healthy and playing to max potential in 1994, the Cowboys would have had the league's best trio that year, and even with Harper gone, a JSmith-Irvin duo would still be formidable during 1995-2000 - and if Jerry picks Randy Moss in 1998, oh my......

Thoughts? Does a healthy and happy JSmith make Dallas go deeper in the playoffs in 1994 and 1996-1999?

One of the few times Jimmy Johnson (and Jerry Jones) messed up for the 90s Cowboys.

He didn't play in 1994.

It took a long time before he became a fulltime starter.

Drafted in 1992.
Full Time starter 1997.

Nobody's fault.

Glad it eventually worked out for him.

Lost me after the ..trash...word.
There is more to the events of what occurred.

Jimmy Smith put up HOF numbers as they are. Imagine where he would have ranked if he actually played his first three seasons (1992-1994): 7 games (0 starts), 0 catches.
