Netflix went down at 3am this morning after dropping Eps 8 and 9 of Stranger Things. I like it but I can wait and hopefully have better things to do at 3am......stranger things to do.

I rather enjoyed Bram Stoker's Dracula..... except for Keanu Reeves. No. Really, what is he doing there? Were they originally gonna name it "Dracula's Most Excellent Adventure", did the original screenplay call for surfing? And don't get me started on his attempt at an accent........
I thought the movie looked great, enjoyed the f/x and costumes, thought Oldman was great and loved Tom Waits as Renfield.

Just finished the "finale" of Stranger Things.
I was hoping this was it, and if it was, I hate the ending. If it wasn't, well...as I said, I was hoping it was.

I just finished watching the last two "episodes". This horse needs to be put down. Sorry but season 4 was too contrived and tedious. Episode 9 is 2 hrs and 30 minutes. Ridiculous. Every scene in the episode was dragged out to the point of madness. I had to use all of my inner strength not to fast forward through some scenes. I should have been an hour shorter.
I wanted to like it. I really did but they really need to put an end to this.

Agree, the length was because of too much filler. How are they going to one up this in 5, turn it into Lord of the Rings?
There were some people they added to 4 that did not add to the story and actually detracted it for me. I was already tolerating Wynona "this is my acting face" Ryder.
If they really wanted to do something novel, make that last ep 1:30 with different endings with different actors getting whacked and then it could be 2:30 for a good reason.........as long as Wynona dies in all of them.
Then, Netflix could have the viewers vote for the ending to carry forward to 5 and produce 5 minute vignettes with each actor pleading their case for their character moving on.
For the length of these eps in 4, sure had a made for TV feel to it.

I never thought Wynona Ryder was a good actress and she didn't bring her A game to "Stranger Things". If there is a season 5 it should be a single 2 hour movie to answer the remaining questions and bring the story to an end. And it needs to happen quickly. If they wait another 2 or 3 years to make it happen it will be a total waste of time. I think Netflix is milking this franchise for as much as they can squeeze out of it now, and it shows in the product they produce.
I mean don't we already know what will happen in the end?

When Netflix began the series and through season 3, they were a lot healthier and didn't have to think of ideas like the last two eps on July 1 to keep some subscribers for another month. Now they are launching a commercial ad driven option like Amazon did with Freeview.
And I say get thee behind me commercial ad Satan's.

I thought I would never enjoy a character's fate more than I felt for Hud (T.J. Miller) in Cloverfield back in 2008. That was before Jason Carver in this show. Definitely the highlight of my finishing the final two episodes today.
