For me … Harvey Martin, Chuck Howley, Everson Walls and Darren Woodson would be up there for me and could all be debated. I believe Romo is number one.

Another one I am not sure is under appreciated but not talked about as much as he should. Mark Tuinei. 15 year career, 3 time champion. Only made two pro bowls
All 5 of those you named are considered all time greats. Who is underappreciating them?

How is Troy Aikman not appreciated? He won 3 SBs, made 6 Pro Bowls, was a 1st Team All Pro and even was a SB winning MVP. Everyone appreciates Troy. I'm amazed you didn't mention your hero, Romo.

* he was voted first team all-pro by independent publication Sporting News.

As for the real All-Pro voting, he never even made second team

Aikman is considered an all time 2nd tier great. Since there's only 5 or 6 in the first tier, that's about where he belongs.

Who considers him that? If you’re saying there are only 5-6 a tier above him, you’re also saying there are potentially people who have him in their top 10 lists.

It's Danny White. He did what Romo and Dak never did, he took the team to a conference championship, but he did it 3 consecutive years in a row. Losing those games makes people forget what he did. I respect Danny and remember him as a better QB than Romo and Dak.

To me it had to be Don Meredith -- he was excellent in so many ways yet found so many other ways to confound his fans.
I've never been the fan of a player who could delight one so much one minute, then cause one to despise him in the next.

As I sit here remembering as much, I also recall how he used to confound Landry so much. Often, he'd smile then, grimace later.
