The cap always works itself out. Too many fans are hung up on saving cap space, then turn around and say, they never spend any cap money.

After 4 years, there is no more potential.

I believe the same. I liked the pick and I understand why folks are down on him. I think he has the tools do be dominant.

But I'm wrong/make mistakes daily and happily own up to them. Never understood why it's so hard for some to say they goofed up, it happens to us all.

coaches will decide they could keep them all and go long stash the overrun on IR or PS protected. those inhere keep claiming who could be cut and how many dont know what the coaches will do..could go short somewhere else to have deep rotation for the fattys.

top 2 i know will be here are Osi/Gal/ also agree Watkins might make it as Vet presence solid steady guy.the rest will fight hard for roster and playing time.

BTW like in the hill thread the coaches have higher hopes for him then fans read the snaps he gets when healthy even in the playoff game..quinn must like him.

Watkins is veteran bridge/injury depth. They're hoping the young guys play him off the team.

And speaking of injuries, guys get hurt. What percentage of players get hurt in training camp? You gotta have a little extra injury depth going into camp so you have enough bodies come the season opener.

Only the top 3 guys are even conceivably pass rushers, and Osa isn't made for run/pass 3T duties. More of a pass rush 3T or a DE for a 3 man front.

Bohanna/Ridgway/Watkins are all warm bodies at this point, each individually totally expendable, though we'll have to keep at least one of them.

We are *so* lacking talent in the interior dline. Low hanging fruit for a free agent pickup to upgrade.

You groom your 3 techs in both areas of DT play, run gap responsibilities, point of attack techniques.
They are not one track ponies.

Though i imagine their duties and tasks will be more complex than standard base DL across the NFL, because they are gonna be ask to vary 3 man and 4 man fronts in Quinn's Hybriid schemes that are constant down to down, series to series.

Basham is gonna already have his roster spot contested with the likes of Armstrong, Fowler, Williams ..and Dlaw is entrenched
That's already four DEs.

The one role I'm still not sure how it will pan out that affect other roles is Chauncey Golston ... Reportedly he's bulked up to 270 lbs
and reportedly spent these past camps in the interior ...what he's gonna be.. DE or DT,.. or flex at both ?

With the new roster rules thanks to the pandemic, there is a way that all those players can co-exist on the roster without someone having to be axed. I think the OP is presenting a false premise.

It’s almost guaranteed someone gets hurt and if that’s a young player he gets stuck on IR or what I like to call the second practice squad lol
