Lamb will be the #1 guy... only how he isnt is if boy wonder KM decides its a "spread the love" type of passing game... which wouldnt surprise me. But Lamb has everything you want to be a #1

Why do you think, this squad could be in the top ten?

I’m not saying that’s top 10…..maybe if Lamb is the star we hope he is. But as I see it…we don’t currently have a #1 receiver. Zeke is passed his prime and Pollard doesn’t yet enough touches. I really see nothing special in our Te unit.

I see nothing special but they were a top 5 unit last year with Cooper…..so maybe I’m grading them too harshly.
Zeke isn't passed his prime yet our wr core is NOT top 10...yet depends on Lamb and the Rook

I would say it’s competitive with a good foundation but we might have to add a player on the trade deadline like Rams did with OBJ to have real success this season because IMO we lack a bit of “IT Factor”.

There’s a lot of uncertainty though so IMO performance/rankings have a large delta making it near impossible to quantify.

Ditto here .
Same standard demanded from Cooper ,, now holds for Lamb.

- He has to prove he can take on the better coverage CBs, the best coverage guy on opposing teams and beat them.
He has to show up and be the big dog and clutch when that time calls for him.

And It's a difference between a lead WR ..and an elite lead WR.

Kellen can do what he can to scheme Lamb more open with the constant
shifts, moving formations, bunch sets and rub routes, whatever it takes on that front, ..but we have to have a guy to go to in the deciding
moments.

Looks like he took most of his snaps in the slot last year. It's easier to get off the line when you have that cushion. Should be interesting seeing how he does without Amari taking the attention of the other team.

Here's what he's got to replace-

Wont matter. Lamb was taking the attention from Cooper and it didnt do anything for him.

Cooper was a hinderance to Lamb. With a now defined roll as the true #1 he will thrive. NO one to be pouting about not getting the ball. More opportunities.

Gallup is going to be out at least 6 games due to injury and we haven’t seen Tolbert take a snap yet. And Lamb will be going up against #1 CB’s this year.

Last years receiving corps were definitely top 10. Little early to be making these claims this year. But training camp is a time for renewed optimism.

Who is Williams?

His inclusion was a mistake -- it should have been Washington, instead. Sam Williams is our rookie DE and definitely not a receiver.

Of course, Connor Williams is no longer a Cowboy and never was a WR.

How about we see how we do before we declare how good they are? I'm sick of paper champions. WIN!

The passing attack of this team is unknown, especially with Gallup out. But so is the run game because so is the OL.

Unlike some, I do have confidence in the QB providing his OC and receivers can get open beyond the TE's.

In one of the strangest twist of fates in a long time, I actually have more confidence in the defense this year.

If Zeke isn’t passed his prime….then what would you call it?

Well I know "it's not the age, it's the mileage" :D but he really should have alot of gas left in him. He was basically useless in the latter half of the last season but improved o-line or not, I expect better from him.
