That is not on Zeke. That is on the organization. I’m speaking more about Zeke understanding his role and doing what is asked of him.

People like to assume this is Zeke being selfish. I would wager it’s the organization being stupid

I think its both. But you can bet that Zeke is telling them that he is playing and not to take him out.

Me too lol. Good post dear. Could care less about the negative Nancy's posts in this thread. Goes to show their idiotic mentality over a child, & who just happens to be correct!
I'm amazed this thread turned into what it did. The OP is about a cute kid saying something cute.

Forget about all those so-called expert analyst. Proof it doesn't take an expert to see reality. Aaiden, now 5, has not shied away from criticizing players, not even his own dad, another aspect that has endeared him to NFL fans everywhere. His mom, Stephanie in a SI interview said that Aaiden admonished Dallas Cowboys' running back Ezekiel Elliott at a birthday party, telling him, “Zeke, you don’t run very hard! You don’t hit the holes very hard!”

While Elliot faced no shortage of criticism last season from both fans & analysts alike, perhaps what Aaiden told him at that birthday party spurred something inside him that pushes him to do his best. Unfortunately, something tells me otherwise.

Some of the members here seem about as old as Aidan when they post and see reality about the same as well. Aidan can be excused for it because he's 5.

Zeke was having a good year, got hurt, sucked it up and kept playing. He could have checked it in and collected his paycheck....he has my respect.
Every NFL player plays hurt; he wasn't injured and was obviously cleared to play. At his price, the Cowboys deserve better. I'm looking forward to 2023 when he's gone.

Biggest concern is not what the kid is repeating. His Dad has been talking behind closed doors at home and possibly in the locker room.

Odds are that it was probably being talked about in the locker room long before the kid ever heard it from his Dad.

Bingo. He hasn't been worth a dime since he signed that big contract. If he played injured, it was only to prevent Tony Pollard from taking his job. Barring a return to his rookie form, he's a cap cut next off season.

Yeah, a couple years running now. Maybe copy this to make it easier to re-post again next year.

At what point do we want more when that paycheck you reference is one of the highest in the league? I'm in favor of keeping Zeke around for this year for sure and hoping for a bounce back, but after this year when his salary becomes cuttable from a cap perspective I'm done if he doesn't play better. Let's hope we see the old Zeke - another thing we seem to have been saying for a few years now...

You don't play in a meaningless Week 18 game against the Eagles practice squad with the playoffs the next week if you're hurt.

We have a couple big name guys on our offense that have been given the injury excuses for their play being worse down the stretch. Meanwhile they were out there just to reach milestones in a meaningless game.

These same guys have set those types of games out in the past.
So do you think Zeke was lying about a torn PCL?

I’d like to think if you’re being paid top 3 or 5 money at your position, then you should be expected to be top 3 or 5 at your position. Is that too much to ask? Asking for a friend!

kid said more than 100% of the so called expert team analysts. Everyone involved with the sport knows Zeke went soft the day after he signed the contract. This kid is the only one with enough guts to say it to his face
Went soft?

Have you seen some of the hits Zeke has laid on LBers?

Zeke is a lot of things. Soft aint one of them

I'm saying that if you're injured you're not playing in a game that has zero implications when the season is on the line the next week.

Zeke only had 2 games last season where he had more rushing attempts than he did in that game against the Eagles practice squad.

Zeke and his buddy has sat games out like that in the past when perfectly healthy, but now that they're injured they're going to play? Get real.

Common sense is clearly not so common.

No. Again. You live in an alternate reality. And have obviously never played a competitive sport in your life.

Are you implying that their competitive spirit was not the same in 2016 when they sat out perfectly healthy?

How dare you.
No. What I am saying is that Garrett told them to sit. Again. McCarthy should have sat Zeke weeks prior. It shouldnt have gone that far. But Jerry doesnt like to see his money sitting on the sideline if the doctor says he can play. The difference with Garrett and McCarthy if you even need to ask is Jason was a member of the family. Mike isnt.

We have been over this. You have your opinion. I have mine.

Yes.

It had to have been somebody else's fault.

Of course. What was I thinking?

With the Cowboys. Everything is Jerrys fault. Thats what happens when you have 34 titles in your name. President, Ceo, Owner, Doctor, etc. 27 years of nothing. Whos fault is that? Ours?
