Winning heals all wounds. He hasn't accomplished anything more than Garrett, as of yet. He needs to get this team pass the divisional round to be appreciated. Until then, he's just Fat Garrett. Hopefully this year is the year he surpasses Garrett.
He hasn’t even made the divisional round

In that audio, Doney said he heard from people in the building that MM had some input on what is happening on the defense.

“Had some input”…? What NFL HC does NOT have major input into ALL aspects of the team they are accountable to get results with? Sadly, here in Big D, our HC has less authority and “input” than any other NFL HC.

We ONLY praise on Quinn for the defensive adjustments while killing the man as if he does nothing. Just give the man his love like we do Quinn.

I’m not knocking any of our coaches. Especially not Big Mac. I’m just saying the HC in Dallas has limited authority compared to almost all other HCs.

I think the Garrett and Mike has quite a bit more authority than we think.

Im giving him a pass the first season. Covid was a mess. I count last season as his True first season.
Yeah...coupled with the major injury to Dak being out for the season, his first year doesn't count. But last year and beyond, is what he should be judged on. My biggest beef with McCarthy (no pun intended - LOL) is his clock mismanagement. If he can somehow improve on this, I'll like him a lot better!!

I remember when Garrett said we were getting a new kicker, and Jerry threw together a quick press conference saying "no we are not gtting a new kicker". I'd HATE to be the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, for my current salary.

I haven't seen much the past few years that he's that different than Garrett.
First year was a mulligan due to C19 and Dak breaking his leg.
Last year seemed like a replica of Garrett's good years of being a regular season hero only to look like a deer in the headlights in the postseason before being hit by the truck and eliminated in round uno.

Offensively, we are led to believe Moore has a large say and last year Quinn was in control of the defense. The team was plagued with penalties the entire year and not much was done to address it, other than saying it was his top priority this year.

Maybe here, but his time in Green Bay should have earned him more credit than anything Garrett has ever done: 1 Super Bowl title, 3 more NFC Championship Game appearances. Doesn't mean he'll do it here; it just means he has shown he can do it. So I agree that he's underappreciated in that regard. Most here seem to give all the credit for his success in Green Bay (125 wins, 77 losses, .618 winning percentage) to Aaron Rodgers, which would be akin to us crediting our success under Jimmy Johnson to the triplets (all Hall-of-Famers) ... after all, Jimmy didn't win anything without Aikman, Smith and Irvin.

This is his first full off season.....let's see what happens after a 12-5, under-appreciated season.
If he follows up with another 12 win season and a playoff win I feel he'll get more respect. 12 wins this year will be more of an accomplishment than last year due to the Commanders and Eagles improving their rosters.
