Steven Jones has lied about doing his job using the QB as a scapegoat to not to do his jobs in bringing in players to improve this team. Must be nice not have a boss to answer to unlike the other 31 GMs.

You're paying a QB everyone sees as somewhere around 12ish to 15ish the 2nd most per year.

I said it once and I'll say it again...

You should only pay top dollar for top talent, not because it's "their turn to get paid".

I’ll think it for them, OVERPAID. lmao People barked when Dak got 95 guaranteed, 160, 164 with incentive on his. This dude gets his whole contract in just guarantees lol.

and I said that would be the case. The market is what it is. Do I think these guys get paid too much? You bet, but it is the market value of the position.

Murray has only led the Cardinals to the playoffs once and suffered a complete meltdown against the Rams. He’s never had a 4000 yard season and has never thrown for more than 26 TDs. Plus he has questionable leadership skills. He has talent but the production as a passer hasn’t been there and he has a losing QB record.

If we didn't wait, we could have even gotten Dak for around $33 million or so... with that said, $40 mill will look like a bargain when the next crop gets paid and you have to pay it or risk being qbless

Went over to SBNation fan website 'Revenge of the Birds' - two articles up about the deal.
Just a few comments for now ....5 on one, 3 on the other. Haven't read them yet.

Some stated it was invitable; a couple commented the Cards could have saved $35 mil if it was done another way.

Nah, they'll say "Its how the market works and it'll be a bargain in a few years!" to try and make themselves feel better about being strapped to an average QB for the foreseeable future.

3rd highest I believe. Rodgers > Watson > Murray in terms of order.

Edit: oh wow they actually went .5 over Watson that is amazing to me but I guess when you factor in suspension time Watson will still be making more per year (man Cleveland is dumb).

You know I love Dak but I think Kyler is a better quarterback. Arizona has no weapons. Especially when Hopkins went down. You think his contract is bad wait until you see Lamar’s money.
