Belichick always trying to be different in order to be relevant.

You could change Belichick to any of the following and your point would still be accurate (unfortunately):

Jerry Jones
Stephen Jones
The Dallas Cowboys

...Glass houses and all given that he, post Brady, has as many playoff appearances and wins as we do in that timeframe.

Won't even bring up the differences in the 20 years before that.

Sounds like Coach Popovich.
He's got his thing and he's going to do it, but without a Tim Duncan, or a Tom Brady...
He's just a coach.
Spurs and Dejounte Murray recently parted ways (traded to the Atlanta Hawks).
He was the longest tentured player at the time -6 seasons. His depature (followed by 4-year Spurs vet Lonnie Walker IV - FA signing to Lakers) signals full startover & rebuild for San Antonio.

Look at their paychecks, you'll figure out who the coordinators are real quick.

Judge and Patricia are getting most of their income from the Giants and Lions. I believe the way NFL coaching contracts work is if a head coach is fired with years left on his contract and takes a job with another team the money that team pays them is subtracted from the amount the previous teams owe them.

IMO Belichick is doing this mostly to annoy the sports talk radio guys and reporters. Insulting them at press conferences just isn't enough for him anymore.

So if another team wanted to hire one of his "assistant coaches" to be their coordinator, isn't it technically a promotion? In the past teams couldn't gank a coach in a parallel move like that.

I believe that to be true.

Wasn't his son Stephen calling plays last year for defense?

Just a coach? Didn’t do too bad with a rookie qb and giants legends didn’t carry him on their shoulders for nothing as a d coordinator……Brady is goat but there’s a reason they got 6 together and you could argue the first one was far more Bill than Tom

There was some thing years ago where if someone was a coordinator a team got fined for something. I forget what it was. Also I like Belichich he definitely cheats to the point it’s comical. If I were him I’d have every player on the injury report every week. Oh they have that affirmative action stuff now on offensive coaches so just say no one is on offense or defense or you’ll get fined.

Belichick will decide who his OC will be when he's prepared to say so!
Evidently, that time hasn't actually arrived yet (as if I really care.)

It's probably fair to guess he deems his motives as secret intelligence!

If Jason Garrett had been New England's HC, Tom Brady would have zero Super Bowl wins prior to going to Tampa Bay.
- It was a good pairing of Brady & Belichick.

But Belichick runs the team with the intent to win a championship, not just stay relevant. Our owner/GM does not. He puts limits on what he'll do. That puts the Cowboys at a disadvantage against teams willing to use all avenues to better their teams. Jerry uses the business model.
