If Romo doesn't get injured against the Hawks in the preseason, then Dak isn't starting either.
Probably not. What does they have to do with anything? Romo got healthy and they refused to put him back in until garbage time against the Eagles…..

You said that the organization was dysfunctional and that Romo wouldn't have started in an organization that wasn't. That makes Dak no different because without injury, Dak isn't starting in 2016 or t

2013-14 Romo was a different player than before. Romo always had good physical ability, and was always a smart guy. But somewhere around 2013 the game slowed down to Matrix bullet time for him and he started playing at an MVP caliber level.

Early on, the poor-man's-Favre comparisons were fair. Romo was a physically tough, mobile gunslinger who could be baited into trouble. But 2014 Romo married that Favre-ian playmaking with some ludicrous pocket passing efficiency. He simply played a lot smarter structured football than Favre did. It sucks that his body failed him right as he reached the apex of his skill... 3-5 more years of 2014 level Romo would have us looking at his legacy very differently. If he stayed healthy into his late 30s, it's possible that Romo could have ended up with an MVP and a Super Bowl to his name.

Favre was a monster physical talent at QB, and was as pure of a gamer as you will ever see. His fatal flaw IMO is that he wasn't very smart and never had a good sense of risk vs reward. Romo eventually learned how to balance that aggression. Favre's killer NFCCG INT with the Vikings shows how he never did.

To be fair, the best post in this thread. I'm not a fan of Favre because he made brainless interceptions throughout his career but I respect that he was ironman whereas Romo actually used his brain as he got older and 2014 was indicative of this.

I don't disagree but what does this have to do with Romo?

I would have loved to see Romo not get injured in 2016 as he was better than Dak. And I really think Romo would have gotten injured as he broke his clavicle twice in 2015 from what I remember.
Romo takes up more headspace in Cowboys fans heads than he deserves. He was a good QB in a league when you needed to be great. Made spectacular plays and always made boneheaded mistakes. Loved the guy, defended him to the death to all my non Cowboy fans, Thought he was better than Eli... But going back and analyzing all this, he just never found a way to get it done in the big game. Blame whoever you want, he would come up short when he was needed most. Great career, dated Apex Jessica Simpson, married to an even more beautiful woman, great family, unbelievable fame, and money. I guarantee he never thinks about this Dak, Romo debate nonsense.
Not a HOF candidate.

This is going to get ugly
My reply was going to be something like this, but you said it first! I wonder if this ratio is what the OP was looking for. But, hey, MORE of the comparison between players is what "fans" love to do!! ESPN has ruined it for us.
