The ring of honor is in a bit of a conundrum at the moment. Jimmy definitely belongs. I don’t see anyone else from the Jerry minus Jimmy era that does. This is mostly because of the long drought of playoff success. I guess for continuity there should be some players in the ring of honor from this era but then it kind of weakens the actual honor of being in the ring of honor. No offense to Ware, Witten, and for some Romo but with how the franchise has been, I’m not pining to preserve the memory.
youd be wrong those players should be in..too early but they belong in,,

but Jimmy first,

those once again overreactions on Jerrys non commitment is what he wants. Jimmy will get in and im betting, its coming this season or next but won't be announced until its the best shot at the biggest marketing audience, they will choose a home game and then make it a circus. its coming

Jerry was asked didnt come out and make this known, so the moronic fans saying put cork in it are ignorant.,.,he was put on the spot and Jerrys not the guy to do that with,. Its his team, his ROH, and he will get that done when he feels its the right time.

it will happen. hopefully along with Witten, and Ware plus some others..Jerry will make sure there are 110k fans on those seats that day at the biggest game maybe TG or a primetime home game,

too bad they didnt ask him about the curtains again LOL

Jerry danced around the question like he usually does. A lot of talking but no answer. It’s become painfully obvious he doesn’t want to put Jimmy in the ROH. Refusing to put Jimmy in is one of the many things that makes Jerry look bad.

The elite group was created by Tex Schramm & its first member, Bob Lilly, was inducted on November 23, 1975. Since then, 18 other players, two executives, & one coach have joined Lilly. The ring includes (in chronological order from past to present):

  • Bob Lilly
  • Don Meredith
  • Don Perkins
  • Chuck Howley
  • Mel Renfro
  • Roger Staubach
  • Lee Roy Jordan
  • Tom Landry
  • Tony Dorsett
  • Randy White
  • Bob Hayes
  • Tex Schramm
  • Cliff Harris
  • Rayfield Wright
  • Troy Aikman
  • Michael Irvin
  • Emmitt Smith
  • Drew Pearson
  • Charles Haley
  • Larry Allen
  • Darren Woodson
  • Gil Brandt
This is an incredibly prestigious group of people, 17 of whom are also in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Here are a few players Jerry Jones should consider along with Coach Johnson.
  • Newton
  • Sanders
  • Ware
  • Witten

Said it over and over…

Jerry ain’t letting Jimmy in until he wins another Super Bowl.

Pride destroys but that’s the way it is.

I agree with your position it is pride thing from my guess.

If he puts Switzer in before Jimmy within the coaching category, then it is pure pettiness.

Announcing it a month or so in advance would ensure that the seats are full. No need to wait until they happen to be full already.

Sorry of this was posted but I did not see it. Kudos to Doocy for being direct. No kudos to Jerry for acting like 10 people are going in and babbling

Just another deflection. After deflection. After deflection. After...

Listen to what he says in this latest direct questioning. Then realize this is the same man who put Tony Dorsett and Randy White in the Ring of Honor only THREE months after making the decision to do so AND announcing that he would do so.

People with big egos do not constantly deflect. That is not how big egos work. This is a personality trait of a narcissist.

Lip Service 101...Not gonna happen....that reporter just did his first and last interview with Jerry.

If the Cowboys win a Super Bowl, then Jerry will be much more open to it because Jerry will feel validated that he won without Jimmy's players.

On the flip-side of the issue is that Jimmy might not play along if Jerry didn't induct him.
- I don't know if Jimmy would even want to be in the Cowboys RoH.
- He is already in the Hall of Fame.
