It will not surprise me if Jones' inaction concerning Johnson will now further delay other candidates from being enshrined in The Ring. Jones is a narcissist but is not stupid. He knows putting anyone else in before Johnson will make the negative spotlight shine that much brighter on him. And that is not the type of attention he prefers.

I think he just messed up and pretty much admitted that it wasn't gonna happen under his watch,,...youre right though, should have just said it's gonna happen eventually

Tom died in 2000. Was inducted in HOF in 1990.

After years of refusing to accept the ROH he finally attended a home game vs the Giants , which he had been attending NY home games since his firing for the team he played for and coached before taking over in Dallas , accepting the ROH induction in 1993.

This pretty much sums it up. Jimmy should be in the ROH. It's downright bizarre that an organization would essentially block a 2 time SB winning coach from their team's Hall of Fame (especially when he's actually in the freaking Pro Football Hall of Fame).

If one ever wants to wonder how pissy and vindictive and paranoid and selfish Jerry is (and why we likely won't win a SB under him now), the Jimmy Johnson sage sums it up quite nicely.

There are several on this board that actually stand up for Jerry and seem to like his behavior and the way he runs the team. Anyone this petty, should have nothing to do with running the organization. It screams childlike and bitter. Someone like that is liable to continue down the wrong path just to spite someone else. Even at their own detriment.

Cannot tell from the quote if Jerry is saying Jimmy's actions don't matter now so he isn't waiting for any Jimmy humble pie or if he is saying Jimmy is whining all about but it won't change anything.
Jerry communicates in circles which is why it's impossible take what he says seriously unless it is about business.

WERE it me... I'd simply put Jimmy in and schedule it for a game where I wanted a big-time home field advantage.
Someone coming to town that travels really well? Schedule it then and pack the house with actual Cowboys fans.

He could not care less about negative spotlights so long as there is a spotlight.

This quote just triggered how many grown men to near tears?? He knows they will still make him money.

Thank you Jerry for honoring me to be in a place with all these cowboy greats I am sincerely thankful.

I am deeply saddened for you and our great fan base it's been 25 years since you've been to a Super Bowl or even to win a championship game for that matter.

However it's not too late if you want to hire me I'll be happy to take over your draft, player development, and hire your coaching staff . Let's turn this thing around!!

LOL. For someone that says he's not a Jerry fan you sure do spend a ton of time defending him.

What Jerry has done with Jimmy is petty and shows real jealousy on Jerry's part.
