In case you wondering how much OBJ would cost.............not much, not much at all. In fact, if we can get it done for anywhere near what he made last year ( $4.75M ), he's my first priority.

The Cowboys have the room to fit Beckham in on a one-year, prove-it deal that’s slightly bigger than the one he signed in L.A. ($4.75 million for eight regular season games). Dallas’ $22.4 million is the second-largest cap space in the NFL at the start of training camp, giving them room to pay OBJ something like $10 million for 2022 in whatever form of crypto that will eventually pay out $3 million in 2023.

I've been around long enough to know that injuries are part of the game and mostly because of bad luck and nothing else. Blaming a player for a broken foot makes no sense to me.
Except when a player has years of injury history, Coach.

How would Washington had been the #4 WR? Don't be making up stuff to justify your personal liking of signing Washington. Jerry was singing praises of Washington recently. From my understanding, Washington was brought in to fight for that starting 3rd WR spot.

Big mistake.

I have never panicked over any of this WR stuff. I will leave that up to guys like you.

Lamb, Gallup, Tolbert will be the top 3 guys. Washington would have gotten some PT early with Gallup out, but its not like this guy was supposed to be a world beater.

It would have been a big mistake if we signed him for big money. 1.3 is joke money.

Not sure. Might need to make a trade. Should have never allowed Cedrick Wilson to walk. HUGE MENTAL SCREW UP BY JERRY & SONS.

Wilson, you mean our #4 WR from last year that had one decent year in his life? Wilson was an injury waiting to happen. The money they paid for Wilson is a joke. THAT would have been the BIG mistake.

That's not the point. Cowboys wasted time, a roster spot, player reps and money on bringing in an injury-prone player. The regular season is only a month away.

They have plenty of receivers on the roster. Wilson, the guy you say you like used be a nobody on this roster a year or so ago before he got his chance because of injury.

It's not that simple. You can't pay everyone you would like, and obviously you can't know in advance who will get hurt.
It was really that simple but a Dumbo GM could not do it. Do you see what these WRs are signing for and you could have Cooper, and Lamb stay together for 2-3 more years. Cooper was not a cap problem. He was an enigma problem...So was RANDY MOSS who never failed an NFL drug test or was suspended but Jerry Dumbo GM Jones passed.

How much did he want. I REALLYwanted to keep him and ditch Brown. Wilson must have wanted to much..
Cedrick Wilson's new contract with the Dolphins was not much.

$22,050,000

Current Contract
Cedrick Wilson signed a 3 year, $22,050,000 contract with the Miami Dolphins, including a $2,750,000 signing bonus, $12,750,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $7,350,000.

Cowboys could and should have easily been willing to keep him for basically $7 mil/year. He would have been worth it.

Instead, here we are going the super cheap route with an injury-prone player who is now injured once again, thus placing our WR crew very thin. Nice mess this front office created.

Yeah, you don't her it...had 4 surgeries in 3 years....knee, shoulder and ankle....it is what it is. Just bad luck. I guess if Dak has another injury, you'll say the same about him...

Just a reminder, here's our current WRs depth chart.......we better get this fixed, FAST. Otherwise, Lamb won't have a chance ....call OBJ Stephen

It happens every year...and we don't make any adjustments....we just roll with what we've got. It has worked so well in the past.
