NO its a great move!! And like I said its about more than money. And the money part extends 3 years, not one. But who wants to pay an injury prone, faint hearted leader, 21 million per year for 900 yards and 8 TD's when he is holding back your true #1 anyway?

Im getting the feeling its all just too complicated for you and you just want to cry like a baby about it. Go for it!!
You're the only one getting emotional about it. Stop projecting and get over yourself. It would've been a good move if something was done to improve the team in his absence. As it stands, it's a downgrade. I don't care about his stats. I care about how the offense will perform without him on the field. Remember why he was brought in to begin with?

Im not the one getting all emotional because Washington got hurt. And I certainly didnt care that we let Cooper go. I thought it was the obvious move. The proper move.

Sure we lose some talent, but we were overloaded with talent with pass catchers. NO big loss. We save 63 million over 3 years and Lamb gets to take his rightful place as the #1. Lamb is better than Cooper. Better leader, better WR, more versatile. And he doesnt cost 21 million.

When Cooper was brought here we didnt have Lamb and Shultz. Its the right time for the transition to move on from Cooper.

This team needed to improve on the Oline and on defense and they focused on that.

Just because you have concerns doesn't mean it was a bad move.

It does leave us a little thin. So Noah will probably get some PT the first 4 games, maybe Vasher too. Dont forget that Shutlz is the #2 pass catcher on this team. Maybe we do a little more 12 personnel early on.
Get Ferguson more involved too. And Pollard. Solves the issue of having both Zeke and Pollard on the field at the same time. Just need Moore to use the personnel and be creative. Means he has to coach outside the box

That is why you do not trade talented players you could have kept, and replace talented players with a downgrade talent. If Jerry Dumbo GM Jones was trying to go to a Super Bowl, he keeps Amari Cooper, let Schultz walk, signs Gallup for future WR trade of Cooper after the season, sign a young veteran DT, and DE.
Since Jimmy Johnson was fired, this team has been a joke. Only win is Jerry Jones' team is worth $7.64B. The highest valued franchise that has not done anything in about 30 years.
Well, Jerry Dumbo GM Jones, go find a WR.....
.....and a LT.

Injuries are going to happen. This is why having absolutely dreadful depth at several key positions was a miserable job from the FO. It was entirely predictable that a WR would go down at some point and miss some games and everyone with a brain knew that if it happened prior to Gallup returning, they would be in serious trouble.

I would agree if we were actually overloaded with pass catchers, but we aren't. I love Lamb. Born and raised Sooner fan, but he's about to receive #1 receiver attention from defenses with no proven talent behind him. Washington is set to miss half the season and we don't know how long Gallup will be out. He doesn't sound confident that he'll be ready to go to start the season.

Both players will need time to get into game shape, as well as work on their timing. We're relying on who to replace them and Coop?

Look, I get the move and on paper, it's a rare shrewd business decision from the Jones family that makes alot of sense, regardless of the negative impact it'll have on the offense. My problem as I've stated, is there is 22 million dollars of unspent cap space resulting from the move. They traded a former pro bowler on a relatively decent contract for a 5th round draft pick and did nothing in free agency to make the team better on either side of the ball.

Fowler replaces Gregory, Washington replaces Copper, they swapped kickers, and they brought in a backup running back. That's what makes it a bad move. It makes zero sense downgrading a position group for cap space, and then not using that cap space to make the team better. We have a window of opportunity while Lamb, Micah, Diggs, and others are on their rookie contracts to build an elite team, and we squandered it this year. Disagree if you like, call it crying if you like, but it's reality.

We have a $40 million per year QB who only has one proven WR and he has yet to prove he can be a number one receiver. Get your popcorn ready!
