You're an NFL player. Would you want to stick with 1 team only, or play for several?

Say you're a Pro Bowl player, good enough to start for any team - you're on the level of Ed Reed, Aaron Donald, etc.

Would you rather play for the one and same team your whole career - especially, if Dallas - or play for multiple teams, in free agency?

Seems to me you could sell more merchandise by playing for 2-3 teams over the course of your career than just one, and build up a legacy of multiple fan bases. Unless you really like it with one particular team and want to spend your whole career with them.

Ideally I would like to be able to move one time in case I was drafted by a crap team and then stick with it so the fan base can root for you without fear of you disappearing

Back when I was a Pro Bowl player on the level of Ed Reed and Aaron Donald we didn't have the same opportunity to move from team to team...

You're a professional athlete. Do what you need to do to maximize your earnings in the short window that you will have in professional sports. Unless you're a Tony Romo type, your ability to earn this much money isn't coming again.

The hard part is not to be an idiot and blow it all within five years after you retire.

This is often something that a player is not in control of. If a team is not dedicated to keeping premium players then they often try to save money by allowing those players to go to work for the highest bidder. It's my impression that player preference is to stay at one location for the duration of their career, however, many factors are at play for that to happen.

If drafted by the Cowboys....I never leave....I take less to stay.

If drafted by any other team, I leave as soon as I'm FA eligible. I take less to sign with Dallas.

Pro bowl players

then he lists 2 of the greatest players ever to play their positions. Maybe the greatest ever at each.

Players don’t make money on their merchandise sales. So that point is not relevant.

people play wherever they get paid the most. That’s how it works. You and everybody else. For the most part.

Preferably one team in a fair weather state. I also wouldn't go to Minnesota over Miami just because they offer a bit more.

I do this now at my current job in regard to departments. I take the highest paid easiest job at the closest location. I'm not sitting in traffic just to be paid a little more. I had a job paying 20K more but transferred out. Instead of busting my butt, I watch youtube all night.
